  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Good question...

Since I'm a pantheist, I already believe I am God. We are all God, all part of the One. But this isn't anything at all like saying I have control over specific things, that this girl typing is the God of Snow or the God of Reality. It's a different concept of God.

It's like saying that God cannot be separated from the things that God "created." I am an aspect of God experiencing Godself, just as a tree, a jellyfish, and a river are aspects of God experiencing Godself. I am God, but I am no more or less God than anything else.

So in that aspect, yes. ^^ But if you mean more like a Greek god, "god of such-and-such," then...umm...I don't think so. I wouldn't mind having some kind of powers, like control of fire or wind or something, but I wouldn't want to be a god of anything. That'd be too much pressure. Lol.

I voted "no," because I'm more of second-in-command type. High Priestess, maybe, but only of a cool deity -- like the Goddess of Chocolate.

Though if I could get some Trappist monks to brew beer in my name, I might consider a position in Upper Management.

If you had the oppurtunity to become a god, would you?

As long as it doesn't look like it would turn into a Bruce Almighty situation, sure.

It could be lonely without a goddess, though.

I don't know why everyone is so worried about added responsibility. It appears that being a deity does not require actually responding to prayer, or taking a hand in earthly matters.

You just sit back and absorb the adulation, and if you feel like granting a request or two, you do it; otherwise you just let your priests and sycophants give your followers some dreck about it not being your plan for their prayers to be granted.
