As many of the earlier writings imply, I too am not excited with the existing field of candidates for President of this great Country of ours. I completely concur with Apologetic Warrior. I just say 'ditto' to everything he has posted above. God Help Us and may God continue to Bless the USA.

I still have hopes for Perry, a devout and unapologetic Christian, he seems to be gaining his footing after several disasterous debate performances.

Cain would do as well, the recent media excitement over his "alleged" sexual harrasment back in the 90's is fizzling out after the anonymous claimants refused to speak out about it.

I have my serious doubts about Perry. His association with that 'prayer meeting' was obviously a political stunt. And I want to know more about his affiliation with The New Apostolic Reformation.

John MacArthur Takes on the New Apostolic Reformation & Rick Perry's Prayer Event

At best, this man is seriously compromising the difference between the two kingdoms.

A candidate's religious beliefs are not the issue when voting. It's their political beliefs that matter.

How do you figure? Is Christianity not a worldview, is it like a choir robe you put on at Church and take off after the music is over? I can understand why and how people get into that type of thinking, I went through the public education system and that is how subjects are taught, as though each is separate from the others, as though there is nothing to unite them, no solution to the one and the many. The other day I was thinking about art and history...and asking myself rhetorically what does history have to do with art? Well, for starters there is the history of art itself, and then, back in the day, before photographs people had artists paint their portrait, and the only way we have any idea of what many historical figures looked like is through painted portraits. And then there are the paintings which depict historical events and scenery. In short, I do believe a candidates religious philosophy, can have a huge impact on their political philosophy, especially if their religion means anything to them. Overall though, there is no easy overnight solution, and even if say Christians were in a majority in the White House, it would take years and years to start seeing changes because of how the system is designed, nothing happens quickly in the world of gabbing, arguing, debating, and legal paperwork.

We're voting for a President, not a church elder. All that matters is that the President upholds the Constitution and the principles of Liberty that this nation was founded on. That's it. Anyone has the ability to do that job well regardless of their religious beliefs. Many of the Founders of this nation were not Christians, and they came up with the best system to govern a nation that's ever been devised (borrowing heavily from pagan Greece and Rome). Christians are not necessarily better at everything simply by being Christian. A Christian dentist or surgeon is not necessarily better than an Agnostic or Jewish one. This is not a Christian State. Never has been, and never will be. And I don't want it to be. That would be a serious confusion of the two kingdoms.

Politics is a ugly business, I'm not a fan of John McCain but he once said it's all about the "expletive deleted" spin, I would have to agree.

I'm going to enjoy a pot roast tonight and try to forget about the 15 trillion dollar debt we have, why can't anyone stop the government from spending more money than they take in, I have to balance my budget why can't the govt. balance their budget.

That's the way I see it too. I'm concerned about some of the comments former Governor Romney made in 2002. For example:

Romney to Leftists in 2002: "You Need Someone Like Me in Washington" - Guy Benson

He has to explain those comments to my satisfaction and so far he hasn't.

None of the candidates are perfect. It appears the Democrats fear Herman Cain and Sarah Palin most, because that's who they target most, and most often. It's funny that this latest attempt to smear Mr. Cain comes from a lady from Chicago. Coincidence? I don't think so.

Yes, we know who they fear by the vitriol they exude, Palin is a perfect example. If I could change the subject for a moment, in NFL football Tim Tebow is now front page news as the QB of the Denver Broncos, why? He is an outspoken Christian and secular society wants him to fail, he threatens them with his morality and faith in God.

Great example. Tim Tebow is an outspoken opponent of abortion. His faith is genuine and he makes no excuses for it, nor should he. I know there are Christians on every team, but Tim Tebow is a very special person.

Romney will be the Republican nominee, he gave a great speech tonight after winning New Hampshire, I'm voting for him in the Florida primary and general election. We cannot afford another 4 years of Obama, I have many Christian friends who agree. My 2 cents or less.
