Given the times be it crime, violence, lack of love and compassion the lack of morals and values as well as the looming presence of secularism, huminism and athiesm....
Do you think that a goverment based on the christian beleif system would be the way to go?
A goverment who supports freedom but at the same time uses the scripture as it's guide?
i am not taling about a Denomination specific theocracy I am speaking of a gospel.scripture based theocracy.

what do you think?

I voted No.
I do believe it will work when Jesus rules but not now.
Religion and politics are hard to mix and satisify the people.
I believe if you use morals in the government that is good but the people will be unhappy if they think it is from God.
There is so many that would balk at this time.
When Jesus rules it will be a good fair thing though.
This is just an opinion that may not be worth 2 cents.

I think if you could get away with it and make it work without people manipulating it, then yes. However I tend to look at history and the Pharaisees. Didn't they base thier laws on the laws of Moses? It got way out of hand. Or maybe I'm not understanding the OP.

A christian theocracy would still be a republic...as a CHRISTIAN theocracy would follow the precepts of christ that being love, Tolerance and ensuring the spiritual well-being of our brothers and sisters.
I would think it would be a mix of doctrines and most everyones would be different.
In my opinion it would be mass confusion and disagreement.
I used to believe I would like a Libertarian government until I saw it in operation.
Even though it is mostly democrat here they are living as libertarians and let me tell you it is disrespectful.
I practice the golden rule of do unto others as you would have them do unto you it works. :)

I wanted to make one more comment.. Your intentions are good but Man alone can't set this up to work.
Jesus alone can.
I get restless because many don't respect your property or your presense even, but I have to remember to not put the cart before the horse and wait on the Lord.
We have to just wait on the Lord.

Ok..If not a full blown theocracy would you want christian values and principles written into law?

Yes. I think when you put God out of the equasion you run into problems (look at Rome and Greece). I would like to see more Biblical based laws. God knows how to run things, He know's what He's doing. :)

Hi Packy another good thought and intent on your part :) However I believe we can do it right now no one involved except Jesus and you, Jesus and me.
We all do this and the nonbelievers would take notice.
Unfortunately we can't force non believers to live by what we believe.
When Jesus gets here:clap: ...I am restless just as you seem to be..
Hurry Dear Jesus!

Remember one thing, we will rule and reign with Christ when He comes again and why will that be? To maintain order and peace, why will that be needed? Because there will be rebellion, there is a difference between those raptured who will return to rule and reign and those still alive on earth they will be ruled and reigned. There wiull also be children born in the millenial and they will not always be obedient and we all know that at the end of the thousand years there is rebellion once again .

Very true, good post. I would also like to add that if you look back at the US, and how the government was formed, and the beliefs that were held by those instituting the laws, and writing the constitution, I believe this is what we had in the US. Not that it's gone now, but it has taken qutie a beating in the last few decades. We have a country based on Biblical principal, without being constrictive, or religious. In this modern era of intolerance toward Christianity though, there seem to be alot of people who are bent on taking Jesus out of everything they can.

True that was the intent of the founders However people have lived their lives in the PC ( political correctness) bubble and in this time, secularism ( the thing that has been killing Europe ) Humanism ( putting man in the middle instead of god ) and Atheism has stripped the judeo-Christian value system that America was based on...
Look at Society...You can sing A song about Kwanza...a song about other Holidays but the minute you want to sing a religious CHRISTmas song the ACLU and other's bash their seperationist ideals down societies throat.
The minute a christian speaks up and aginst something they are called Bigots or right wingers... or zealots...
But let me ask this..was Jesus P.C?
Now think of this...If Jesus were to come back today...
he would be called a right wing nutjob by the media..there is something terribly wrong with this picture...
We need ACTIVE christians not sunday morning christians to get involved.
