nectarines. I've never figured out what there is to eat on a pawpaw. Their fruits are full of huge, flat, hard and bitter seeds.

Interesting. I think your pawpaws must be different to ours. Ours have tiny round seeds but the fruit smells like the local tip.
I'll have to go with gravy. I don't know what the other is. No-one would ever believe we share a common tongue.

Roast. Au jus is the flavorful drippings from a roast, by the way. Our pawpaws are also called custard apples, if that helps.

Yuk!! But they are not pawpaws. Pawpaws are large & orange or pinky coloured & as I said they smell like nothing on earth. I think they're an aquired taste - which I haven't aquired. Also gravey here is usually made from the roast drippings; at least it is if you make your own.

Yes, gravy is made with roast drippings, flour, water and some kind of fat. Au jus is just the de-fatted drippings all by themselves, no flour, water or fat.
