I've only been in this situation once that I can remember, where a guy three times my size was on top of a friend and had a machete in his hand, I had no choice but to try and pull him off my friend. (with prayer of course who wouldn't be praying in that situation) lucky for me (and an answer to prayer) he actually just kind of pretty much gave up the fight willingly once I approached him and started to pull him off.
At any rate I found it impossible to stand by and watch knowing someones life might be at risk. And just as an added note, I didn't need to kill in order to take care of the situation.
What if some how you knew she would not be killed, would you still have acted? I am mainly refering to this...

Does it require someone elses life at stake for us to help them? Perhaps it is just me but I can't stand seeing others even get hurt. If he had no weapon, if he was just beating up on her...over her pummeling, not even that, just even forcefully messing with her; would you act or do nothing?
Many people seem to think (and I am not implying you) that if one's life isn't in danger...it isn't their problem.
