Would you date someone younger than you?

I talked to a guy who was 21. He was so immature. This other guy at my churhes single group is 23. The difference in maturity is astonishing. The last guy I actually dated and had serious feelings for was 28 and acted like he was 21 (divorced). I know what I want now having experienced everything. If a younger guy treats me with respect I wouldn't say no if God wants it to happen.

I would be open to it, but honestly it depends on the person. It's a case-by-case basis, depending on the maturity of the person which can differ wildly even for people the same age.

At this age, I do not think so, as, a younger boy, would likely not be in university yet. In the future, maybe. My mother, she is 2 yrs older, than my father. They have 35 years together, this July.

Plus he is getting his masters so it really isn't that noticeble age wise. He is 23 and I am 25, so age would not be bad. It is the older guys who act like they are 21 or the 21 year olds just wanting to bar hop and such that would put a red flag.

I'm with BlueWren, I don't think I would date someone much younger than me because I', in university so if they're younger than me then they're pretty young!

Also I think it's true what they say that girls mature emotionally faster than boys.

My fiancé is younger than me by about a year and a half. Most of the time it's not a noticeable difference. It just depends on the guy and where you're both at in life and in maturity.

Perhaps if I was in my 30s maybe.
My fiancé is one year older than me and that seems just about perfect for me.

Yeah I'm also interested in a guy who is 9 years older. So idk guess all I can do is pray. I've been single for two years so I'm ready to be back in the dating scene.

This thread has been all female perspectives thus far. Let me tell you, as a male, I am married to a woman 7 1/2 years younger than me. It works. I had a pastor a couple of years ago that was married to a woman 16 years younger than him, and he thought that a significant age gap was healthy for both to exercise themselves as man and woman to the fullest extent. He thought couples too close in age were prone to blend the gender roles to a point of confusion. Empirical evidence is suggesting to me that his observations are wise.

Possibly, if there were mature and all. As it is though, I am with someone 8 years older - been together for 2 years on the 18th. And we are quite happy, so age differences can certainly work out.
