  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

There was a time in my life when I even prayed for the devil to be forgiven:D:D. But he won't be. As someone already said, he chose his destiny. He is evil, he doesn't care about being saved, but about making people suffer and taking them from God. He hates God and he hates men. I don't think they will ever have a chance to repent. And they don't want this!

Since god is a very forgiving and merciful god, do you think if the devil came to his senses and wanted forgivness for all the evil he has done, do you think god would forgive him?

No. The devil's sin is irreparable and irrevocable and unforgivable. There is an unforgivable sin(s), in this world and the next.

What a great question to ponder. To try to understand this we need to know the nature between God and his angles. We need to search the Scripture pertaining to them and how God uses them. Satan's fall from grace was do to his vanity. He desires to be exulted as god and has contempt for gods creation. He is our accuser; we look to the book of Job as a example. But if he didn't exist how would we know our faith? I believe the reason Satan fell is the root of all sin.Selfishness sin in what ever form starts with putting our own desires before god and man no matter the results.we are created apart from angels in Gods image his love gave us eternal life. The Scripture states we will judge angels one day some of their destiny will be in our hands! I believe in Gods power over all he could destroy Satan instantaneously from the beginning. I believe Satan is more of a trial for us than god. I don't believe he is under the same grace as we are. The bible states that Satan will be cast into the lake of fire one day.God is always faithful in his word. For this reason I don't believe Satan could repent to salvation if it exists for angels.

I don't know of anywhere in the Bible that teaches or even hints that God has made any provision for Satan and the angels that joined with him in his original rebellion against God to ever be saved.

Salvation is provided for mankind through trusting in Christ's sacrificial death and resurrection on their behalf. Hebrews 2:16-17 makes it clear that Jesus Christ did not become flesh to die for Satan but rather to take away the sins of people (humans).

God would forgive Satan, if he only asked, but Satan is so full of himself that he will never repent. This is why God will destroy him as Satan will never humble himself, his pride is too great and will be the reason why he will be destroyed in the end. But if Satan did ask God for forgiveness, God would. If God can forgive sinners like us, why not one of his greatest creations?

Interesting, never heard that before.

Well, Angels were created in one instant, outside of time. Being pure spirits they are able to see through eternity from the moment they were created. When they made their choice (to serve or to disobey God) they already knew the consequences and implications of their choice, and what they chose then became their permanent eternal state.

It is different for us, as we were created in a material world with the condition of time. Ours is not an instant decision, but a lifelong struggle of doubt, reason, and faith. Our permanent eternal state then becomes that which we die in-- in God's love or in rejection of God.
