I don't think when he came to pick you up for your date that he'd actually be picking you up off the ground.LALaurie said:Mine wasn't something that was said, but I tripped down the stairs and landed at his feet when he came to pick me up on our first date.
Needless to say I could have died.
It is funny and I can laugh about it now, but when I was 15 and it happened I could have died.Wormie said:I don't think when he came to pick you up for your date that he'd actually be picking you up off the ground.Gives a whole new definition to "picking up chicks"
.
I'm sorry about what happened, I'm not trying to flame you by saying this, just so you know.![]()

me: (realizing this isn't a date, but a pitch to get me into a pyramid scam) "Sweet, you guys make routers?"
her: "what's a router?"
me: "Never mind, tell me about your business."
her: "I can't explain it here, you'll need to come to a meeting."
me: "No thanks, I'm not interested in pyramids."
her: "It's not a pyramid, we aclimate fortune 500 companies to the internet."
me: "I never knew fortune 500 companies needed a 'team' of hair stylists and retirees to get them 'aclimated' to the internet. I think what you're talking about is portal websites, and you want me to join the team under you so I ecome your customer base, because no one else buys from "the team"."
this is the third pitch I've heard for this same scheme, I ask the router question every time because these people have no clue what they're talking about, they're just parroting what they were told at the last "team meeting".
ewww, i hate the finger in the palm thing...eatenbylocusts said:Technically it could've been considered a second date. The first meeting was a brief coffee meeting so he could check me out before he took me to an awards dinner he had to cover for work.
While sitting at a table with strangers who work in the fashion industry, he told me I had beautiful lips and asked me when I was going to let him kiss them. At the same time he was holding on to my hand and doing the finger in the palm thing. Later on he suprised me by taking my picture with his camera phone. I still worry about what he might have done with that picture.

g4goddess said:ah yes, dating can be so rough. i should have just picked someone years ago and just settled down, but i was so wrapped up with school and career that I didn't. I regret that now. *sigh*. And it seems once you've hit 30, there's a reason these guys are single!!
