If you think Yugioh is bad, try sitting through a couple episodes of Bakugan Battle Brawlers. Talk about drama. At least Pokemon doesn't claim that the world depends on a card match.I'd say Yugi-oh. I just never got how a simple card game could hold so much at stake.
You get used to subtitles after a while. Most of the stuff I watch anymore these days is subtitled-only, or at the very least, I've specifically turned on the Japanese+subs to avoid having to hear the dubs. I've just gotten sick and tired of hearing the same small pool of English voice actors over and over and over again, ad nauseam. I do make exceptions at times, but it's pretty few and far between anymore (particularly with classics from my childhood, but wanting to hear those dubs is more of a perverse nostalgia, except for Robotech).I watched the Japaneese version of naruto but I couldnt watch the show unless i read the subtitles which got pretty annoying...
I know I may be attacked by some people here from saying this *lol* but I don't like Dragonball Z at all or any animes that are just about fighting.
Not exactly so. Monty Python is a prime example of farce, and most of that would go right over such audiences' heads.nah. such animes are more like farces. Farces are comedies that consist of nothing but everyone getting beaten up, just for the sake of pointing out human stupidity.
Only 2 words for anyone who watches and truly enjoys that stuff:
"HELD. BACK!"

Welcome to the world of shounen action series, in other words. Or more specifically the ones intended for 10-13 year olds. The crop of shows* for ~14-16 tend to be much less tournament-oriented and tiptoe closer to being seinen. Some straddle that barrier between pre-/early and middle teens too - I can't stand Naruto, but I do enjoy Bleach, and would argue that it's not nearly as patently annoying while still being firmly a shounen series (although, granted, I keep up with the manga for Bleach more than the anime, which likely influences that - the Bleach anime tones down the violence and 'clothing choices' a lot more).true, but at least the humor in monty python is done in good taste. Anime that is nothing but fighting [like DB/DBZ/DBGT and naruto] is just dull... same plot, just emphasized each time more than the last.
Hentai anime is awful, obviously.
Most of the anime for kids doesn't do much for me either, though.
