  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I see worship as loving God. I think it is important to worship God by loving each other. I read this book about love languages and I thought it a good model to express our love to God in various ways. I also think church celebrations/liturgy are a good way to come together and express our love to God creatively.

I believe that Godly worship is whatever draws you closer to God without distractions. We tend to get caught up in "traditional" worship and look down on people who worship differently. My husband worshiped God best in a deer stand where he was surrounded both by silence and nature. My mother needs a more traditional setting with old hymns and not a lot of fanfare. Me, I need to find a place to escape the demands of life...so that can be at church, but it won't be on the days where I'm feeling "guilty" for not volunteering for something I really don't have the time for...and it can be when I'm alone, but might not be if I'm buried deep in a personal pity party for one or too tired to see straight.

There are many ways to worship God IMO. We can sing praises to Him. We can pray. We can acknowledge Him in situations in life and ask for guidance. We can glorify Him by helping someone else that needs or wants our help. Just a quiet "I love you Lord" is worship IMO.

Reading the word and meditating on it, is worship to IMO.

God just wants to be first in our lives and to have a real relationship with us. He also wants us to love people because that is what sets the captives free and causes them to learn about our God and it glorifies Him.

I agree there are many ways to worship God. Some believers get to know one of the ways to worship God and then think other believers are aren't worshipping God in what they do.

One of the things I've heard the original meaning is that the works of our hands are worship to God.
