As the world reacted to news of U.S. strikes on Iran's nuclear facilities, international officials largely responded with alarm and calls for restraint — though some expressed praise.

Across the Middle East, reactions ranged from concern to condemnation. The Saudi government said it was following events "with great concern," and called for urgent diplomacy.

The governments of Iraq and Qatar both warned the strikes risked destabilizing an already volatile region. Pakistan also issued a statement condemning the strike and warning of "severely damaging implications" for the broader region.

China strongly condemned the U.S. attack on Iran and on nuclear facilities supervised by the International Atomic Energy Agency, the Chinese foreign ministry said on Sunday.

The move seriously violates the United Nations Charter and worsens tensions in the Middle East, the ministry said in a statement on its website.

China urged parties to the conflict, especially Israel, to cease attacks as soon as possible and begin dialogue and negotiations, the ministry said.

United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres warned that the U.S. strikes on Iran represent a dangerous escalation in an already volatile region, posing a serious threat to global peace and security.

“There is a growing risk that this conflict could rapidly get out of control – with catastrophic consequences for civilians, the region, and the world,” Guterres said in a statement as reported by Reuters.

“At this perilous hour, it is critical to avoid a spiral of chaos. There is no military solution. The only path forward is diplomacy. The only hope is peace,” he said.

My opinion is that it was necessary. Iran has a history of sponsoring terrorism, and I don't trust the idea of Iran with nuclear weapons. They have considered themselves to be at war with Israel and the US since 1979, and if there has been a change in their opinion of either, I'm not aware of it.

From the information released to the public, Israel doesn't have the means of delivering a MOP. The US does and, to be best of my knowledge, is the only one to have them.

China, Russia, Pakistan, North Korea... They will make the same statements.
The United Nations, Hot air and posturing.
The world has had many attempts at making peace with Iran.
Ah come on, can't we all just get along?

This is what their answer is now. Let's just talk about it some more. How about a barbeque in the back yard? Just our two families. Would camel be okay?

Christ
“Do not think that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I have not come to bring peace, but a sword."

"Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid."

"I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”

“Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among those with whom he is pleased!”

"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."

"Do you think that I have come to give peace on earth? No, I tell you, but rather division."

"For he himself is our peace, who has made us both one and has broken down in his flesh the dividing wall of hostility"

"And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."

Jesus answered, “My kingdom is not of this world. If my kingdom were of this world, my servants would have been fighting, that I might not be delivered over to the Jews. But my kingdom is not from the world.”

Endure suffering along with me, as a good soldier of Christ Jesus. Soldiers don’t get tied up in the affairs of civilian life, for then they cannot please the officer who enlisted them.

Matt 24
And Jesus answered them, “See that no one leads you astray. 5 For many will come in my name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and they will lead many astray. 6 And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not alarmed, for this must take place, but the end is not yet. 7 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines and earthquakes in various places. 8 All these are but the beginning of the birth pains.

9 “Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and put you to death, and you will be hated by all nations for my name's sake. 10 And then many will fall away[a] and betray one another and hate one another. 11 And many false prophets will arise and lead many astray. 12 And because lawlessness will be increased, the love of many will grow cold. 13 But the one who endures to the end will be saved. 14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.

It looks to me like things are progressing according to plan. Gods plan.

I don't really see a feasible alternative that would prevent Iran from developing nuclear weapons. I'm in favor.
I’m against. All this is going to accomplish is making them mad, retaliation and escalate the war.

except for the facts.

1. The Islamic Iranian government has collapsed. Their army is not doing anything -- they have almost run out of launchers, their civil government is hiding underground and their military is not supporting them.

2. Even their proxies are not firing. And they are complaining that even Russia has abandon them - It it not defending them against Israel - and now Israel has uncontested control over Tehran sky.

3. Demonstrations have been occurring in favor of regime change that never would have happened under the unfettered Islamic Regime

That video is wrong in one key area - it predicts that Iran would see and attack the strike group. In real life they saw nothing , fired nothing not only at the approach of the strike group but also as it left Iranian airspace after the mission was completed -- nothing fired.

that is total failure of Iranian defenses not even a parting shot.!!

People are being mislead by some left-leaning media these days.

They've already been mad and have already been escalating the war. Arming Russia against Ukraine. Arming the houthis. Arming Hamas and Hezbollah. We saw what happened to Israel in the October attacks.

Their nuclear program has never had such a high uranium enrichment %, that is 60% uranium, enriched well beyond any civilian purpose known to humankind, and is only known for weapons development purposes, and in greater in quantity of weapons grade centrifuges in all of history. Civilian purpose grade uranium is 2-4% by comparison.

Their furdow facility, built some 300+ feet underground, without international inspection. Hidden away.

They also had their nuclear weapons program amad project exposed:

If that's not escalation, that is escalating toward nuclear weapons, I'm not sure what is. They are seeking nuclear weapons, and if they armed Hamas, Hezbollah, the houthis etc. with that kind of weapon, untold destruction would follow, like nothing the world has ever seen.

And if you think that Iran would never do such a thing, then consider the fact that if Iran had such weapons, every rival sunni nation would likewise want such weapons as well. Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Egypt.

Nuclear proliferation may be the greatest threat to human existence. And when you allow that to unfold in the most unstable region on earth, the stakes are high.

Trump is a disappointment.

I hate to say it but... you're right.
He should've concentrated on domestic policy and, maybe, leaned a bit harder on Zelenskiy to end the Ukraine war.
Instead, he went back on Musk's attempt to trim the budget and dilly-dallied on Ukraine.
Hitting Iran's nuclear facilities was a very big gamble on his part and, as they say, keep throwing the dice and sooner or later they'll come up snake eyes...

Muslim sects battle each other over interpretations of their Quran and leadership, one of the two major sects desiring deaths or slavery of all Jews and Christians, the battle cry of even Muslim against the whole world and each other. The heart of the issue sprang up in Genesis 12-21 when Ishmael was denied the promise made to Abraham's son Isaac. Now much of the world desires to grant the land promise to descendants of Ishmael (the "free Palestine issue"), requiring the deaths of Jews and Christians who have the undeniable tie to Israel through the Jewish Jesus. The war will continue until Jesus ends it at the valley of Megiddo conquering the anti-christ. Many Muslims object to the evil of murderous Muslims, being tolerant of other non Muslim believers. Many are trapped and lack opportunity to self govern away from their evil religious rulers.
Christians who hate people who desire to destroy them err, but rather should at least present the gospel with love to all people. That doesn't mean Christians and Jews ought to let the evil sides of Islam rule over us to our annihilation or slavery. The long war of thousands of years must not end by a handful of extremist Islamist leaders showering nuclear bombs and hold world economies hostage. God has the plan to settle it.

Retaliation? Most likely. It won't be in the form of a nuclear weapon, which is the point. As to the rest, they've been mad at the US and Israel since 1979 and have backed groups like the Houthis.

Iran said its missile attack on Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar matched the number of bombs dropped by the United States on Iranian nuclear sites this weekend, signaling Iran’s likely desire to de-escalate. It also said it targeted the base because it was outside of populated areas.

If rhie is so, cooler minds may prevail in Iran
