  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I have a severe case of alt-itis, but only a few characters I play regularly. What kind of loser rolls TWO Paladins? ^_^

Anyway... all of my characters are on Silver Hand; my RL friends established themselves there with Alliance toons, so I've been there ever since. I have...

Liuceijya (lvl 60 Human Paladin)-- Been incredibly lazy with raids, so she has doodley for equipment. (1 piece of Lightforge FTW!) but she's fun to RP. Known as 'Juice' to her friends.

Agatea (lvl 17 Dwarven Paladin)-- part of an all-Paladin guild called the Caelestis Templares. It's good to play a zealot. *evil grin*

Teatha (lvl 34 Gnome Warlock)-- My main for the moment. I'm definitely going to level her to 60 because Warlocks are fun.

Tibylt (lvl 18 Gnome Mage)-- Exploding things are fun. Engineering forever!

I also have a couple of Hordies on Maelstrom, but I barely ever venture there...

One of my new favorites...a class I thought I'd NEVER play...PRIEST!
I used to think they awere straight healing...then I discovered the Shadow Priest *DROOL* So fun to play!!

It's a fun game but it can rule your life. I have skipped classes (and I made up for the work and skipped when I could so I skip smart) to play the game. It's fun but can get boring. I don't let a game rule my life because I do other things its just during some of the down times when I got a few hours to kill, I'm on WoW. If you are on Lightning's Blade, check me out (Strongnweak).

P.S. Shamans deal way too much damage...should be nerfed.

I started playing this game after this past Christmas. I went to visit some friends out of town, and they got me hooked. I suppose I've had time to level a character to 60, but I'm trying to get a feel for what I like and what I can play with my video card. I'm also trying to see which realms aren't too lag filled, and have relatively intelligent players. And deciding if I like PVP servers.

I had 2 other characters besides the ones I'm listing--a lvl 22 Night Elf Druid and a lvl 10 Dwarven Paladin. I deleted them because I was on too many servers. I keep two normal servers only because one is where my RL friends play and the other has a guild I love. I'm considering making an Undead Mage named Cadavara. I know, it's corny....but I'm that way sometimes.

On Vek'nilash (normal):

Mirsha (lvl 26 Troll Shaman)- I play her most at the moment. I'm loving her.

Morighan (lvl 6 Undead Priest)

On Eldre'Thalas (normal):

Mycha (lvl 30 Night Elf Hunter) I wanted something that could stop a rogue sometimes. There is nothing more frightening to my casters than the sound of a rogue disappearing nearby. She has 2 pets--Tygger a cat, and Baloo a bear

Masina (lvl 5 Human Mage)

Meeganala (lvl 11 Tauren Druid)

On Akama (PVP):

Meeran (lvl 11 Troll Priest)

Edited to comment on--

I love how the game is built around quests to advance. You can grind all you like...but the way to get good XP and coin is by doing quests a lot. Much better than a basic grind.

Quests can be good for XP and coin, but you can get a LOT of coin by using the AH. Things sell for more on the Alliance side than Horde as there are more people to keep the economy going. Sometimes it's about luck though. I sold a stack of wool cloth for 1G once in the Horde AH.

I don't agree with nerfing Shaman, yes...Shaman are big damage dealers...but for every strength there is a weakness. A warrior alone will have a tough time taking down a Shaman (mainly range problems) but if he has a Priest or Mage with him...I pity the Shaman.

Just like a Priest can't solo a warrior. I don't think each class should be able to take on another class on it's own :)

I am in the ToJ(Tribe of Judah) guild. Really great group of people. The guild is called Redeemed. I started out on PvE, but switched over to PvP. Sure questing can take longer because you might be ganked a few times, but when YOU are the one doing the ganking, well that's a whole other ballgame. :D

To be honest and not to slight anyone or their friends but you have to be an idiot to miss life, school, work because of a game,

My sentiments exaclty.

I would be playing the game right now if not for other commitments... and I'm sorry.. I don't care how far into the dungeon we are or how long we've been partied up... If my girlfriend calls, I'm gone. :)

BTW:
I have several characters... I can't remember them all at the moment... but my main is this:

SoC - Human Paladin
Level 44 (IIRC)

I play on the Lightning's Blade server. Booyah for PVP! :p

Oh... and I started a guild before I had to drop the game... the Otaku. I'll be joining up here again next month (after I move and have high-speed internet again), so if you're interested in joining my guild, let me know. :)

Other characters I have:
Imanelf (Night Elf Rogue)
Chesster (Dwarf Hunter)
Shortstuph (Gnome Warlock)

What I really enjoy about WoW is the fact I no longer play it after the content ran out after 3 whole months of play, and that hopefully Vanguard will save us from the MMO entropy that has ensued since the decline of EQ.

25 Undead Mage named Arkaine on Boulderfist. Awesome.

Fire-specced mage ftw! (although the name probably better suits an Arcane-specced mage if I do say so myself.)

Those Alliance on Boulderfist have problems though.

I played WoW for about 9 months. Quit last December thank God. I was addicted to a large degree. Any of you ever take that "How addicted to WoW" test or whatever it was? Yeah I scored in the top 90%.

60 warrior
60 rogue
~52 priest (cant remember exact)

I let the game take over my life basically. Pretty much failed all my classes last fall and am still feeling the repercussions of it all. :(

The game was lots of fun and I don't have anything against it...well actually I do. Hard not to hold negative sentiments toward something that took thousands of hours of my life away. I'd guess the game could be fun if played in moderation (I wouldn't know hehe), but it can easily become dangerously addictive.

My wife would be able to relate to you...she was VERY addicted before we started playing just in moderation.
