Which is why we can't rely on later Greek writing to be true to the Jewish culture of the time or the Aramaic language. The Gentile agenda didn't help matters. You don't know what they thought, particularly when you judge it according to modern day.
He was delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to life for our justification. Rom 4:25Well that certainly tells me you dont believe that the death of Christ alone Justified a person before God.
Secondly, you probably believe as most do, one isnt Justified before God until they are regenerated and exercise faith/ or believe. If that's the case, thats works.
Oh, wow!Which is why we can't rely on later Greek writing to be true to the Jewish culture of the time or the Aramaic language.
Oh, wow. . .again! The Gentile agenda didn't help matters.
You mean, we can't rely on Greek writings inspired by God word for word, to accurately convey what people thought back then. I don't disagree that it is important to understand as much as reasonably possible the Jewish culture of the time, though we don't have an Aramaic original of what anybody said, there. But Scripture is interpreted by Scripture —not by untrustworthy guesswork of moderns.Which is why we can't rely on later Greek writing to be true to the Jewish culture of the time or the Aramaic language. The Gentile agenda didn't help matters.
What is the credible evidence for that?Matthew was originally n Aramaic
Or so say some. Where is it?Matthew was originally n Aramaic
I have no problem with those scriptures, however if one conditions their salvation on their act of believing either before or after regeneration, thats works salvation, and it denies salvation by the death of Christ and His Blood. He was delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to life for our justification. Rom 4:25
So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith, Gal 3:26-29
The condition of a non-believer is dead in sins and by nature children of wrath. And faith in Christ does not nullify redemption it substantiates it.
In Him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace that he lavished on us. With all wisdom and understanding, He made known to us the mystery of His will according to his good pleasure, which he purposed in Christ; Eph 1:7-9
Knowing that you were redeemed with the spotless blood of a lamb; 1 Peter 1:18-19If you condition Salvation/Redemption on your act of faith or believing, thats works and denies the Blood of Christ.
And although you were previously alienated and hostile in attitude, engaged in evil deeds, yet He has now reconciled you in His body of flesh through death, in order to present you before Him holy and blameless and beyond reproach— if indeed you continue in the faith. Col 1:21-23What I have presented and you have denied is that a person for whom Christ died is Justified before God by that simple fact alone, apart from their faith.
He Himself bore our sins in His body on the cross, to deliver us from sin and to make us right with God. By His stripes you have been healed. 1 Peter 2:24Well that certainly tells me you dont believe that the death of Christ alone Justified a person before God.
But now you have returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls.1 Peter 2:25Secondly, you probably believe as most do, one isnt Justified before God until they are regenerated and exercise faith/ or believe. If that's the case, thats works.
And they will have shame. It is a shame that many believers don't/can't separate Gods free Gift of salvation and maturing in Christ.-People who believe works are part of a person receiving God's free gift of Eternal Life salvation. Will get to plea their belief at the great white throne judgment.
And that gift was the Kingdom, an extension to this previously permanent dead end. An extension where man would no longer be able to rule each other but be under only the rule of God in person. No further manipulating secular systems or religions to suit the ways of man.It is a shame that many believers don't/can't separate Gods free Gift of salvation
