  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

So I have a job at a company I wish I had researched more before I signed on but just recently found out they are heavily involved with the LGBT community, even sporting supportive work attire and such. I love my job, but the question persists:

Should I resign due to the nature of their affiliations?

To be blunt, Im not the believer I once was. Im currently not even attending a church, but I can get into that later (I only bring it up to quell the ‘be a witness’ crowd) I know that is all circumstantial to what is going on in a persons life and God places us all in our circumstances to advance his plans. So it could be said God places me at T-Mobile for a time or season.

But would God want me working at a company that clearly supports anti-biblical lifestyles?

Money is not an issue for me. I garner a disability and retirement check from the government for my military service, so the job is just supplement income.

I have thought about maybe working at Chicfila, but the thought of working fast food, even at a very reputable one, has never been appealing to me.

Most any major company, the military, and the government are going to be supportive of the LGBT community. There may be a handful of companies who aren't. I would assume though that the majority would have some recognition of pride month and so on.

Yes, I think so. Christians also need to earn a livelihood from the Satan-ruled world. ...

1CORINTHIANS.5: = 9 I wrote to you in my epistle not to keep company with sexually immoral people. 10 Yet I certainly did not mean with the sexually immoral people of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or idolaters, since then you would need to go out of the world.

11 But now I have written to you not to keep company with anyone named a brother, who is sexually immoral, or covetous, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or an extortioner—not even to eat with such a person.

12 For what have I to do with judging those also who are outside? Do you not judge those who are inside? 13 But those who are outside God judges. Therefore “put away from yourselves the evil person.”

Likely you have a gay person or two in your extended family.
Ask them for advice.

Am I not able to do that whileat work?
i think the more relavant question of self challange bro, would be.... "have i been doing so this far?
God is amazing ,we have a lady here whom we baptized last year who now is in full time employment, this last week we joined her to baptize 3 of her co workers .her entire work place knows of her faith.they come to her to question and be prayed for when injured or sick and she speaks the Full gospel to them all. she now also has evening fellowship to further disciple the new disciples of Jesus.and all without ever entering the door of a church building.
it is simply amazing (but should not be) what begins to happen when WE begin to DO as Jesus said rather then just hearing about it all the time.

It doesn't bother me to know that sinners sin. Arguably believers sin just as much. I look to follow the Lord myself, as most of us do, yet I err as much as a typical person. As we're all in this world, we don't get to live among the perfected.

It's written that the just shall live by faith; i.e., things not seen. And it has also been written, take the adventure that Aslan sends you, by a decidedly later author.

I'd suggest taking the adventure and resting in Christ to see what comes.
