and yet the bible isn't silent on it, so as it is God's word, we ought to listen to it.
Did you understand my post? :)
Do you know what sola scriptura means? :)
What part of my post did you understand to mean "ignore the bible" ? :)
I think I said it very clearly, so I will just post it again.
Tell me which part you don't understand and I will try to explain in a better way. :)

The Christian Priesthood comes from the Bible and Traditions of the church.

Therefore, you can't go about figuring out weather or not women should be ordained from sola scriptura.

For heaven sakes, folks, can we read the Scriptures correctly? This is the third or fourth time this week that someone has put forth a blatant mistranslation of the Scriptures.

AMEN, BROTHER!

Always keep in mind that Paul clearly in other scriptures lays the blame and the responsability for the fall at the feet of Adam, not Eve. What Paul is saying here is that the situation in which Eve took charge and lead Adam is what opened the door to sin entering (sin did not enter through Eve, but through Adam).
Splitting hairs - not much good for a credible argument.

As far as I am concerned, women as clergy is something that has never been done in the east. As +Kalistos says:"It is something that I am not for nor against, I just want a good argument for or against - give it to me!".

Each to their own, have it or not have it but whatever you do, make sure it is for the glory of God and salvation of mankind.

For if it is not - may we all be damnned... for we surely will be.

AMEN! I think that's about the last word on the subject, IMHO...
