Difficult for who? You realise this is my home forum, right? People are allowed to discuss theology and ask for advice in their congregational forums...
Che? Ok, am completely lost... Huh. Well, anyway, take care, toohmm interesting response after i responded and made sure i put the emotioncon to show i wasn't meaning to be demeaning to your topic, but that's ok.
it is rather irrelevant to me if this is your personal home forum. my home forum is WWMC and people come in giving us advice. we're brethern right? we're posting on an internet forum right? and we're allowed to go in other congregational forums and discuss but we are not to debate and i have not been debating about anything so far just answering OP's, so that is why the point that this is your home forum is really irrelevant to me. that's good for you and have fun with it.
my response was my advice and nothing more. you said we should love by default, and as far as i'm concerned...there is your answer to your own question. take care!![]()

tattered saint
Lets say you are a real sheep... a lamb... you see a wolf and think "O ANOTHER ANIMAL!... I WILL GO AND JUST CUDDLE UP"
What would happen next and how many bites before that lamb is dead?

(btw-the name i use on here is tattedsaint. it's not that hard to give respect to people who post on here by actually using the name that they choose, since the space makes it shown it wasn't accidental. if you don't like my name just quick "quote" next time ok?)

This is gonna bug me if we don't clarifyi got lost by your other response as well. live well![]()
I think it's that light colored font that's thrown T2, he's not a disrespectful guy, just kinda old and dimmed vision like me
TatteredSaint wouldn't be a bad username though![]()

Which response of mine fuddled you?

Ahhh!! Ok, now we're on the same pagethis one did
i didn't understand why that was needed for our conversation because i wasn't questioning or trying to say, dont' come here to your home forum and ask concerns or anything along that lines.
my reply that got that was just my advice to not make it so difficult by how we deal with people we consider "wolves" and just live by default as you say which is to love them. i hope that's a way to start our conversation over because i didn't mean for it to get array![]()
how about TSwell i'd probably run away out of mere fear trying to think how i'd react as a sheep even tho i'm a human. and how many bites? depends on how hungry the wolves are. what's your point?

while i see your point, i see a few issues at hand and i hope this is not seen as debating because i know the rules and i don't want to start debating and breaking rules and causing a ruckus here but i just would like to point out some issues i see with that kind of thinking for our faith.how about TS
Jim is right i cant see your font lol
Ok heres the point... the scripture tells us there are wolves... you yourself now say that if you were a lamb you would run from the wolves. Why is this differant in the spirit? Answer: Its not
Run or be armed with a sword which is the word of God and then the sheep stand together as an armed flock and can protect one another from being devoured
I see two problems here, 1. what if the pastor is the wolf and 2. how do we identify the wolf to throw up the warning? Both, I would add to that the pastor/elder of the local congregation as well.
They all function as shephards.. and I think you go up the chain. Go to the local elder, he should then take up the issue.. if he doesn't then go to the bishop, or whatever authority your denomination has over pastors.
The scriptural standard on dealing with a problem between people in the church is that you first go to the person, then you go to the preson with a witness.. then you go to the elders etc.
I think that a similar idea works with false prophets/teachers. This is, of course, assuming that they are in your local congregation.
isn't the image of the sheep, those who follow "anyone" or "anything". That is to say easily swayed. That would make the sheep not good at determining who is and who is not a wolf would it?I believe in arming the flock with swords. A wolf or even a pack of 4-5 stand no chance against 100 sheep with swords
We learn the word then, discern according to the word, weighing even the unpleasant, and then stand together against it, back to back as a flock, giving the word itself and standing on it unmovably, is some mighty sword slinging
The image of sheep with swords kind of disturbs me, I see the sheep so startled at the mention of wolves that they attack anything that moves, including each other. Sounds like a lot of churches today, sheep attacking each other rather than the enemy. Ah well, it isn't all bad to arm sheep with swords I guess.how about TS
