Well, something happened on Thursday....that reminded me of this dream. So I thought I would let you know what that was!
We were running into some hard financial times and have debated now for three months on which we wondered if we should ask our church could help. God finally gave us a peace that it would be ok. We are actively (very) in our church so we thought it would be no problem. So when my husband asked the friday before Easter he was told by the pastor that it would be no problem. We never got word back so he called and never got a return call....so this went all the way through Sun. On Monday, we finally got a message (text) saying that the pastor talked to "the men" and No they would not give us any financial help. We thought what? That doesn't even make any sense. So we had this odd feeling all week. Again, no return calls until Thurs. my husband was called in for a meeting with the pastor and one of "the men". They told him that they do not give money for us doing ministry....He told him...we weren't asking for ministry sake we are talking about food, soap, toilet paper etc...." They then continued and said we want you to step out of all your positions because you are too passionate! (My husband runs the Sunday school programs, teaches S.S., Jr. church, works Awana, trying to start a mission program, I do all the secretarial paper work, birthday card (make and mail) plus other little things around the church).
Have you ever heard of anyone being asked to step out of position because they are passionate for Christ? We were dumbfounded. Right then and their I thought of those wolves and being chased along with all the chaos that continued in the church.
So do you believe that this dream was a forewarning of what was to come?
Praise the Lord....He is in control! Yes we were hurt and totally confused. Not only that we didn't get to finish our job or let people know that we aren't going to be there. (Oh, I take that back....they did say we could still come to church we just aren't allowed to serve and if we do want to serve it would have to be some time down the road and it would have to be taken slowly!)
Any advice or comments?
