I could find many more Bible passages that you wouldn't like and that I agree with. But it's still God's Word that you're not liking. Perhaps it isn't the fact that I agree with it, but that you simply don't like what God's Word says.

Actually, there is one:
Leviticus 20:13
13 fIf a man lies with a male as with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination; they shall surely be put to death; their blood is upon them.

That's the one being referenced in the NT and that I quoted earlier.

But then again, as I said earlier, it is not saying that we're supposed to go around killing gay people. It simply states what they deserve under God's law. As I also said earlier, it says that we are all under the same law, and are deserving of death. We all have the same way through Jesus Christ for forgiveness of our sins. However, some people are happier being proud of the things that make them deserving of death, and openly celebrated it out in the streets.

Yet again, nobody has suggested that. You've just been asked whether you agree with the quote you gave which was about gay people. In a thread about gay people discussing gay people and almost certainly read by some gay people. You do agree with it. What else is there for you to say?

Oh, maybe 'yeah, I was completely wrong about gay people and paedophiles.' You could say that.

It is important that you understand most people use English in a more convential fashion For example if someone says "every citizen deserves a vote" they are saying it is important to make sure every citizen gets a vote.

Since the quote is from scripture, and that's the problem you had with it, you want me to disagree with what scripture says. Post 202, 209, and 213 are examples.

It goes further than "deserve" death. The expectation at that time was that the community should and would put them to death.

I’m aware, it’s just interesting you won’t say in your own words that gay people deserve to be killed. You will agree with a Bible verse to that effect because you have decided you cannot disagree with any part of the Bible, but you cannot bring yourself to express a Biblical declaration as your own opinion. I think you don’t really agree with it, but your own moral and intellectual cowardice will never allow you to confront that incongruence. How tedious.

We all deserve death because we all are sinners. That is the foundation of Christian need for a savior. Christ took that death upon himself.

You can think that is stupid, but it is the truth. Yes, we are to make just law of government in this world, but that concerns our sin against our fellow man, believer or not.

I’m familiar with a variety of attempted rationalizations for the incongruity between biblical values and modern conventional values, including the idea of a new covenant. The argument that all of human nature is sinful and deserving of death is a particularly weak defense of the biblical condemnation of gay people. You could do that with any arbitrary trait a radical group of Christians decided was bad. “Do you believe Black people deserve to be killed?” “Well, technically everyone deserves to be killed due to our sinful nature so yes.” That’s not really what the question is asking. The old Jewish laws don’t call for everyone to be killed. Just particular offenders, among them gay people. Would you defend that?

It is in fact done in Islamic countries today. But, you are up in arms over Christianity, barely a word about Islam. hmmmm.
And yes, the death penalty was for certain sins. But all had punishment. It is why Israel has been in Exile.
