From the time I started reading God's word I have believed in healing. Always telling people we are snared by the words of our mouth. I believe this! I believe in a positive confession. I was confused a few years ago when my beautiful 10 week old grandson died suddenly from a combination of sids and then while being resuscitated he drowned in his own vomit. Now my granddaughter who just turned 11 and has cystic fibrosis is bleeding in her lungs from scarring. It doesn't look good. In her condition even if they found a compatible lung donor she probably wouldn't survive the surgery. I just don't understand. How does one understand? Shouldn't healing belong to our young ones too?

It is a tough thing. My heart and tears are with you right now as I read your post. No one should have to lose their grandchildren in such a way.

As one who strongly believes in the Word-Faith message, I have no doubts in my mind that what the Bible says about healing is true. But in all honesty, our life experiences do not always seem to match what the Bible says we should have. I do not believe that the fault is God's, and it is not always ours either, but there are so many other contingencies that we are dealing with.

We are in a warfare, and in this warfare there will be casualties. The painful thing is when one of the casualties happens to be one that we love and treasure dearly.

Sometimes we Word-Faithers have attempted to be "Super-Faith Men". We have tried to take on the devil and his attacks on our own without calling for help. Some healings simply will not come by our prayers and confessions alone. Sometimes it will take many of us, joining our faith together, praying and interceding, not quitting until what we are seeking God for has come.

We Word-faithers have sometimes thought that a quick prayer, Scripture quote, rebuke of the devil, and positive confessions hereafter would get the job done. I am learning that there is more to it than that. We have sometimes forgotten that there is the aspect of INTERCESSION and also the Matt. 18:18-20 principle. Older Faith teachers such as Gordon Lindsay, Kenneth Hagin, John Osteen, and other pioneers taught these truths, but their voices were lost in our impatience to get the quick faith answer. Even Bob Buess, a friend of Hagin and Osteen rebuked the WoF for the lack of perseverence in prayer in his out-of-print book "As The Pendulum Swings."

From here, we do not want to ask "why" about your departed grandchild. Just rest assure that as you hurt, God is hurting with you. He loves you so much that he is feeling your pain just as you are hurting. However, why don't all of us on this forum begin to pray for your other grandchild and beseech God for a miracle.

Father

I cry out to you to glorify yourself in working a miracle on behalf of this child. Lord, the doctors have given us a negative report, but we know that you are the all powerful and omnipotent one who takes delight in showing that one need not settle for the doctor's negative verdict. We thank you Lord for the wisdom you have given doctors and how they strive to help. But Lord, we know that you are the ULTIMATE physician and you have promised in your Word to hear and answer prayer. You have promised to heal our bodies.

Lord we ask you to fulfill your powerful word on this child's behalf and HEAL in the name of your holy Son, Jesus the Messiah. Do it for your name's sake. Do it for your glory. Show the world that you are one who keeps His vows. I pray, standing on this in the name of Jesus. Amen

Thanks so very much. I read your prayer aloud in agreement. You are very kind and I appreciate you. My husband has called a church for a prayer request too. Everyone I feel to be close to the Lord I am going to contact. When this happened I question my own faith. I saw God raise my son from the dead after he had drowned. I don't have documentation on this as we lived in the country with no phone or car, but I know God raised him up! So when my grandchildren are affected and my plea before God doesn't heal them I have to check myself. God's word is true! I know the bible teaches that Jesus didn't heal some because of unbelief, but I do believe and so do my grandbabies. I was going to add more but I chose not to give ground to the enemy. Positive confession still will be my conversation. God Bless, Connie

Hello~

Healing belongs to ANYONE and EVERYONE. i dont believe that God would be capricious to selectively have one type of people be recipient of healings; i would believe that He loves all His children and desires for them to be healthy

However, God doesnt work the way we want Him to. Sometimes it might be best that those children were "translated into Glory". We can never really know all of Gods purposes, but if He took them away from this earth... well, i suppose it was better for them

I lost two dear people a whilst back to disease. They were strong Christians and devoted servants to God and our church that i attended to. To me, they were sincere and loving Christians who always gave and did things for His sake. One of them was a woman who suffered from diabetes. The other was an elder. He passed away from a heart attack. She succumbed to her diabetes. Did people pray they get healed? Absolutely! Did they make it? No. But i believe they are in a far better place, and i am thankful for the impact that they made whilst on this earth

I, along with the rest of us reading your post, are praying and indeed hope that the Lord may spare your granddaughter... but do not despair or lose hope if something might happen to her. Regardless of the outcome, she will in the hands of the Lord. That is the hope that we live in :)

Follower of Christ; I go to a wof church on sunday morning, I also go to a full gopsel church on sat. night. Listern and hear my words. Divine health is not a right. Jesus will heal your granddaughter but it will be by His grace. Jesus heals by His name, by the gifts of faith, and miracles, by the laiding on of hands by the elders with oil and the prays of a rightouness man: Tell me Holy Spirit what have you hear in the matter above? Speak to me oh-may God I seek your will. I walk before you into the Hollies of holy and lay this petition up on the mercy seat. If it be your will I speak no more on this matter then I will walk away. If it is your will to hear my voice let me speak my words of love. You are the giver of life, my God. The bringer of joy and thanksgiving. Why are these pains so great? I beseech you my Lord, I will take your place. For I know that your hand is mightier, that your grace is greater, And your mercy abounds forever. Oh-may lover of my soul, move thy hand and touch this little one. Left the illness, set her free this day in JESUS name I pray.

I am sorry for your losses, I think sometimes God calls people to heaven whether divine health is our right or not.
It is his mercy either way. Everything is his mercy.
I think it is our right as one of the inheritence from abraham since God calls sickness a burden among other bad words..lol
but remember your health and the desires of your heart come true as your soul prospers.. I know my sickness came on me as a result of my sin because I was out from under my fathers protection when I was cursed.
and I am reaping it and God is showing mercy and lifting it now..
you are doing a good job of being thankful keep at it.. remember job finally got his life back two fold!

I am not WOF but i do beleive that healing is for all becasue God shows favor to no man. But let me tell you about Cystic Fibrosis my sister has it and is losing it slowly. But two years ago they gave her 6 months to live and she is alive because of the Fervant Prayers of many righteous men and women and God's grace and him holding to his promises that he makes for he said that his word will not return void and let me tell you all you can do is hold that child up to God and and say in the Name of Jesus be healed. That is what we did we held my sister up in prayer we said God we are gonna go in faith on this and say in the name of Jesus you are healed and she is still alive aqnd ever since then she has been getting better and the doctors can not explain but i tell you this i can. But just keep pressing in and do not stop pressing in when God makes a promise he will not go back on it and you have to stand on that rhema word from God. For as the Angel said to Mary with the rhema of God nothing is impossible.

I hope that this helps you and what not. I mean i could type her all day about sin nature therories and what not but i am not going to do that i am just going to give you the incouragement that if GOd shows favor to no man then if he healed my sister he can heal your grandaughter. And i will pray for the healing of your grandaughter.
