Yesterday devotion was about the gift of God’s love which we all received when we were born-again.

Today is about growing in God’s love. Growing in age does not mean we are growing in love. We get older by the second if we do nothing but sleep, we still get older.

There is some effort on our part to grow in love. Love is the most wonderful thing we can have.

Perfect love cast out fear, love is fearless, and therefore, if we have any fear, we need to grow in love.

The word-perfect means: mature, brought to its end.

Luke 7:47 Wherefore I say unto thee, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven, [the same] loveth little.

Jesus said to whom little is forgiven, the same loves little. He also said he that is forgiven much loves much. Jesus is not teaching that we need to go out and sin a lot in order for our love to grow. Jesus is stating a fact that is the way it is.

God loves the person if he sinned a lot just like He loves the one that has not sin much. What we are talking about is our love growing toward God.

For a person that got saved at an early age and raised in church probably has not gotten into the filth of sin as one who has not been raised in church. That is not always the case many times those that were raised in church and got saved at an early age have gotten into some bad trouble.

Let's say a person that has not gotten into a lot of sin, the thing I would to say to you in order to grow in grace and love, is to compare your life to Jesus. And you will find out that you were nothing but filthy rags before you got saved. No matter how little a person has sin when you broke one of God’s ten commandments, if you every told a lie the bible teaches that is the same as if you had broken all the commandments.

To the one that feels like you have not sin much you need to see yourself as a filthy sinner. Look at yourself and then look at Jesus, and you will see how bad you really are. Look how bad it was for the human race because of Adam and Eve one sin they did.

The bible teaches us how to grow in grace and love. The moat important thing I believe we need to understand is how much God loves us. It is God that loved us first and it is His love we need to receive in our hearts. The Holy Ghost will shed God’s love into our hearts and that is the love we need to seek after.

Personalize the scripture when you read of God love for you. Of course the devil will try to tell you God does love you. Remember what Jesus said about the devil that he is a liar and the father of it.

Open the door of your heart and receive the love of God. The bible tells us the Holy Ghost of God will shed God’s love into our heart.

By us understanding how God loves us unconditionally, the more we will love Him. The greater we love God, the more we will want to serve Him.

Whatever we do for the Lord Jesus it should always be the result of our love for Him. Everything that is not done in love there is no reward for it in heaven.

Whatever we do should always be the fruit of love. The Lord Jesus puts a high price on love and without it we can do nothing.

1 John 4:19 We love him, because he first loved us.
