My desire for emotional intimacy is much stronger though.

Since hitting 30, I have had an extreme desire to be intimate on all levels. It is definately worse than when I was younger.

For the most part the same. When I was about 18 I remember just being in the mood because of hormones; not because there was a bf in the picture. Now, a lot of it is in response to the men in my life who inspire a desire to be intimate-even without touching me.

I would say that I desire more, both physical & emotional intimacy.

When I'm not getting it the desire will be on the increase regardless of any age. Abstinence doesn't end in happiness......life is all about moderation.

It seems to me that the "Desire" is still there, both physically & emotionally. However, holding hands & sitting quietly, & or walking together, that kind of stuff these days is MUCH more enjoyable than when I was younger, and thought anything less than "going all the way" was an utter waste of time.

My desire for emotional intimacy has always been strong, but I think I've shed the "need" factor that goes with that. I'm more happy in and of myself. As the for physical, well, I've never had too much of a drive. If I'm IN a relationship, it's there, but if not, I guess I've gotten used to not being that close.
