WINNERS!!! CF Easter 2005 Logo Contest!

Finally!!! The winners have been chosen - it was a tough decision.

The winning entries are now being shown randomly as CF's header. They will remain for about 1 week.

I want to thank Roger and Esther, friends from my church, who assisted, and my wife, May, who helped.

It was very difficult as the entries were all very good.

We had to try different logos and see how they looked up in the header.

Some of the logo entries were fantastic, but because of their animation and the way they were done, they did not fit into the header. These will get a special mention.

Anyone who did not win a prize but submitted an entry will get a bonus 1,000 blessings for entering.

First Prize - 50,000 blessings

This was a simple design, yet very nice and clean. We loved it.

Second Prize - 30,000 blessings

Talie is obviously very talented. This was a very close 2nd place.

Third Prize - 10,000 blessings x 2

Both of no_worries' entries are simple subtle variations to our normal logo. Both his entries won third prize so he got 10,000 blessings TWICE. For his efforts.

Special Prize - 5,000 blessings each

For entries which were great and which I would have loved to use but could not use because of the way they were made - they were not formatted correctly to fit in the header.

This is an awesome entry - would have won if it was not pink, and did not repeat our statement. Also, the animated stone is great but does not translate into the 3 pictures we use.

Hey Erwin, can you bring back the special graphics for Pascha? Eastern Orthodox are actually in the midst of Lent right now because we calculate Easter differently, and our name for it is Pascha. This year we celebrate the Resurrection of our Lord on May 1st. It'd be really cool. Thanks.

Thanks for the kind words I just figured out how to do the middle on my last entery and didn't think about testing my first one, I honestly didn't think it would have gotten reconized. I thought forsure the last 2 were better lol I guess thats why didn't worry with it next time I will know

Thanks its all good, he had a hard decission I know how hard it is to judge a contest. Maybe mine was a bit too much I don't know It happend the way it was suppose to there is always next time

The one that won the special prize would have been in the top 3 - however, I couldn't use it - essentially because the colors did not match the site, and the middle graphic did not stretch out properly. But it was indeed fantastic though. Very impressive.

I'll show you what I mean here...

The middle graphic has to be stretchable and join the 2 side graphics together.

I will definitely give better instructions for the next competition...

It doesn't really have to match the site colors - it just has to fit in.

However, your colors do fit in, but the middle graphic doesn't fit properly. If you redo it, I may be able to use it. It has to be able to stretch out properly...
