Stinger made his way down the stairs and out the door just behind his men and Jakob. “Where’s the rest of ‘em?” One of his men who had been waiting outside asked. Stinger just glared at him, “Let’s go, the girl will probably want to get to the warehouse quickly, we need to be there waiting for her. Tie him up and throw him in the trunk.” Stinger ordered. The group did as they were told and put the man in the trunk of a Jaguar XKR-S. In fact Stinger had three of them, all new. “How’d you get these?” Jakob asked as his jaw hit the floor when he saw them. “A donation from my new employer.” Stinger informed as his men closed the trunk with the tied up bearer inside. “It’s not too late Jakob, you can still join us. The pay is easily worth any trouble the agency might give you. Jakob gave the simple answer of shaking his head, “All right, have it your way then.” Stinger fished out some keys from his pocket, “Here.” He said throwing the keys at Jakob, “Take one of these as a gift from me. Maybe it will give you something to think about.”

Jakob watched Stinger and his men pile up into the two cars and drive off. Jakob worked quickly to tie up the former griffon, then after making sure he ws tied tightly stuck him in the back seat and buckled him up, “Safety first.” Jakob said to himself with a chuckle. He got into the driver’s seat of the car and started it, after buckling his own seat belt, and drove off towards the edge of the city.

Paul sat and watched as the old man nearly feinted from the blood on Lex’s shirt. Paul looked down and played with his food while the scene unfolded. “Sorry about that.” Lex said to Paul once the professor was gone, “It’s fine.” Paul mumbled. He got up from the table, “I’m going to go for a walk.” He announced as he headed over to the door. He wasn’t sure why he felt the need to announce it, but he wasn’t sure what else to say. He walked out without another word.
