Jakob walked over to the griffon’s unconscious body. At least the used to be griffon. Like so many other of them it, or rather he, apparently had the ability to hide himself. Jakob kicked the body gently a few times to make sure he was out. While that dose of tranquilizer was enough to take out a man twice this guy’s size, you could never be sure with bearers. They were always unpredictable, especially when it came to their unique powers. Jakob was convinced that the creature was down, now the hard part, figuring out how to transport it. Getting the bearers down was the easy part, moving them was more often then not harder then it appeared. Fortunately he wasn’t alone. Jakob signaled to one of Stinger’s men. He and Jakob lifted the body, and with Jakob leading walked out of the room.

Stinger felt himself calm down once he realized the bearer was down. He turned his attention to the men he sent after the girl, “Did you get her?” He yelled at them, “No, she just vanished.” Stinger looked at the unconscious body of the bearer. Sirens came into hearing range. Stinger could only guess that the commotion woke up some of the neighbors. “Take this one then!” His men did as they were told and walked out behind Jakob. Stinger stopped on his way out, “I know you can hear me witch! I’m taking him to a warehouse house across town, 88B. If you’re not there within 24 hours, he’s dead!” Stinger walked out, just as his men were getting to the end of the hall.
