  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Will you pray for me?

Salvation is upon only those that God chooses. Talk to God. (My guess is he put it in you to be concerned about it.)

The Creator is precisely and thoroughly just. You can believe that the judge of all the world will do what is right. If you are his, he will not lose you. Otherwise, why would he have bothered to create? This is not an experiment. Your salvation is in his hands --not yours.

I would advise you to read huge portions of Scripture to get to know him better. He is supremely merciful.

I am afraid that I might have lost my salvation.

God is silent, I feel disconnected.

Btw, when David says in Psalms, "Restore unto me the joy of my Salvation.", he did not say, "Restore unto me my Salvation."

Leaps, one thing I have learned is that there are a couple of different phases to my relationship with the Lord: Consolation and Desolation. Consolation is when I hear God speak or feel He is near - and I am consoled and easily experience peace and joy. Desolation is when it seems difficult to hear or feel God - as though He left me all alone and at a time I was going through something difficult. I used to feel confusion, anxiety and sadness in these times.
After 27 years of following the Lord in ministry, I get that these seasons will always come from time to time. I have also had wonderful mountain-top experiences with God that have lasted much longer than the silent times.
He is building my faith and has made me so much stronger! My part is to trust him that He knows what is best - only wants the best for me - and would never throw me away even though I am a flawed person and fail him sometimes. He loves me so much that He chose for me to be a partaker of his own sufferings so that I might become a better minister and able to comfort others by understanding their pain. This is why the Word says to count it an enormous blessing when we go through these trials as we have been not only chosen but called.

King David wrote out of his own spiritual desolation.
My God, my God, why have you forsaken me? Why are you so far from saving me, from the words of my groaning? 2 O my God, I cry by day, but you do not answer, and by night, but I find no rest.
Psalm 22:1-2

Paul, James, Timothy and others in the NT wrote about these trials and to expect them - also that they are a means of promotion in the kingdom of God.
Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, 3 for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. 4 And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing. James 1:2-4

You can never lose your salvation. It is complete and eternal.
"For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 8:38-39

I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand. John 10:28-29

We cannot earn his love. The Lord never wants us to think for a minute that we can lose his love. You are precious to him.
And when he [the shepherd] has found it [his lamb], he lays it on his shoulders, rejoicing. And when he comes home, he calls together his friends and his neighbors, saying to them, ‘Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep that was lost.’ Luke 15:5-6
