I don’t think the sentiment is that an elected President isn’t officially President of the US but rather that President does not represent them personally. With Trump, he made it clear that he was President of those who supported him during his last term. I doubt he will be different this term.To be fair, there were also plenty of Republicans who claimed #NotMyPresident when Biden was elected.
I don't know if you've seen these crazy freak outs that have been all over TikTok and other social media platforms, but I have to wonder what has happened to people that they cannot simply accept an election result that they disagree with.
I was born in 1977. Therefore...
Carter was my President.
Reagan was my President.
Bush Sr. was my President.
Clinton was my President.
Bush Jr. was my President.
Obama was my President.
Trump was my President.
Biden is my President.
Trump will be my President again.
And anyone who lives in the US that doesn't believe that is straight-up delusional.
