To be fair, there were also plenty of Republicans who claimed #NotMyPresident when Biden was elected.

I don't know if you've seen these crazy freak outs that have been all over TikTok and other social media platforms, but I have to wonder what has happened to people that they cannot simply accept an election result that they disagree with.

I was born in 1977. Therefore...

Carter was my President.
Reagan was my President.
Bush Sr. was my President.
Clinton was my President.
Bush Jr. was my President.
Obama was my President.
Trump was my President.
Biden is my President.
Trump will be my President again.

And anyone who lives in the US that doesn't believe that is straight-up delusional.
I don’t think the sentiment is that an elected President isn’t officially President of the US but rather that President does not represent them personally. With Trump, he made it clear that he was President of those who supported him during his last term. I doubt he will be different this term.

Biden is my countrys president.
Trump will be my countrys president, barring a stroke or assassination etc.
I myself dont have a president. I just have a self, and whatever power comes with that.

I get your point tho.

I suppose so. But it's still a delusional statement. We elect a President, and that person is President of anyone who lives in the United States.

No matter what Trump said, he is the President of anyone who lives in the United States.

Fair enough. But that seems a bit semantical to me.

This way of speaking reflects the almost insane burden people have put on politics to define their very self.

President of me rather than president of the country.

President of me rather than president of the country.

I see your point. I just don't think there is that much of a difference in the way it's stated.

I suppose so. But it's still a delusional statement. We elect a President, and that person is President of anyone who lives in the United States.

It is interesting that the "not my president" is so familiar to the condition of salvation.
God made Jesus Lord, and He is Lord of all. Being Lord of all, He has the power and authority to save anyone who calls on His name. And we have millions who have called on His name and declare "Jesus is Lord." Yet at the same time we have people who refuse this and rebell against Him stating "He is not my Lord." Well, yes He is, by the decree of God He is, and there is really nothing anyone can do about it.

Acts 2:36 KJV para
36 ... know assuredly, ... God hath made ... Jesus,... both Lord and Christ.

Romans 10:12 KJV para
12 ... the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.

This bogus idea that we have to "make him lord" or "invite him to be Lord" simply does not reflect the reality of the situation. God has already made Him Lord. He is not asking for permission to be your Lord nor does He need it. We are being told that He is already Lord, and if you want to be saved you have to call on Him at which time He will be rich unto all and save you.

When people say "he is not my president, it reminded me of this notion.

Ah this free and fair (and stupid) election is over and I can finally vote YES in the poll.

It does sicken me somewhat how many Americans could not do the same re the last election. Not even the VP elect. I dont think the Pres elect either.

He is going to be your president. Can you at least type, "Donald Trump will be my next President?" Keep in mind that the more you refuse, the more it proves my case.
Curious, did you accept the Biden presidency last time round?

EDIT you answered!

Oh? I am sorry that you consider these elections are stupid. Do you consider them to be a threat to our democracy?
Yes stupid. The campaigns go on for ever and ever. Cost absurd amounts of money. Offer choices based on a basically broken primary system from both sides.

Thats before I even get into the electoral college nonsense.
