and is the climate the end all be all? I can about promise you that the climate was not on the top of the list of things for a lot of people for either party. The fact that Harris appears to be ready to lose the popular vote suggest that.We can expect the climate to get worse. There is truly no hope now because we are at a critical point.
Well that is really on the people who will not vote for her more than anything. It is not that women have less access or rights anymore,My doubt is not with women being less able to lead, but with people being less willing to vote for a woman above a man, all other factors being equal.
time will tell it is not January 20th of 2025 yet.Ain't gonna happen.
Ain't gonna happen.
I dont think people have put the pieces together.and is the climate the end all be all? I can about promise you that the climate was not on the top of the list of things for a lot of people for either party. The fact that Harris appears to be ready to lose the popular vote suggest that.
and that is the thing he outpreforms in places he was not expected to ( swing state and otherwisesomething tells me it was not just WHO he was.Not only did Trump win Pennsylvania, he extended his margin from 2020 in nearly every county. He even improved his margin in Philadelphia substantially.

but will people STILL not put the peices togather? If they are better off then I do not think talk about the climate will cause many people at large to say you know what we should have voted for Harris.I dont think people have put the pieces together.
The cost of rapidly changing ag production patterns. Huge global migration pressures. The sheer physical drag of hotter days and nights. Energy costs to cool places that didnt need it before. Impossibly unaffordable insurance. The psychic toll of it all. And the global economy - which we cant escape - will grind down. And thats even before we get to "natural" disasters and sea level rise.
Taking a page from Hillary's playbook?low-information voters
Yes if people overall feel better off, they will be change averse.but will people STILL not put the peices togather? If they are better off then I do not think talk about the climate will cause many people at large to say you know what we should have voted for Harris.
Yes, it did. Her numbers are pathetic. She's going to lose the popular vote. Not even the betting markets predicted that.
THIS is a big part of the Democrat's problem. This elitist attitude that the only reason Trump won was because of "low-information voters". Insulting half the country is an interesting political strategy that clearly isn't working.
I'm just saying that the democratic party doesn't have to jump over that additional hurdle. They seem addicted to headlines in the style of "first [minority] in [office]!".Well that is really on the people who will not vote for her more than anything. It is not that women have less access or rights anymore,
with that I agreeI'm just saying that the democratic party doesn't have to jump over that additional hurdle. They seem addicted to headlines in the style of "first [minority] in [office]!".
More severe hurricanes, tornadoes and storms doesn't get your attention?and is the climate the end all be all? I can about promise you that the climate was not on the top of the list of things for a lot of people for either party. The fact that Harris appears to be ready to lose the popular vote suggest that.
Funnily enough, "flyover country" and similiar phrases were coined and almost exclusively used by people living in those states, imagining that other people talk of them like that.Taking a page from Hillary's playbook?
Self aggrandizing putdowns?
I understand the frustration of events not dovetailing as one might prefer, but a blanket reference to those you don't agree with as ignorant is well...
It seems the dummies in all those 'flyover states' have spoken.
People could agrue A what does that have to do with politics and/or B that is acts of God. For the record I happen to believe that climate change is both.More severe hurricanes, tornadoes and storms doesn't get your attention?
I believe the point is that voters tend to vote out the people in power when they're not happy, and climate change has a tendency to produce conditions that make people unhappy. If the summer is hotter and your utility bills increase accordingly as you have to run the A/C more, that's going to put a larger strain on your budget. If you have to spend money repeatedly evacuating and/or cleaning up after hurricanes (or have your house destroyed altogether), that's going to affect your feelings about the state of the country. If you're looking forward to skiing over the winter and it never snows, you might be upset about that. And so on.People could agrue A what does that have to do with politics and/or B that is acts of God. For the record I happen to believe that climate change is both.
The older I get, the less I see people as inclined to think through complex cause effect relationships.People could agrue A what does that have to do with politics and/or B that is acts of God. For the record I happen to believe that climate change is both.
