• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Will this disprove climate changes?

Here is an article that shows evidence that the world is really in a better state and is healthy in relation to the slight increase in temperatures. It also explains why an increase in CO2 has actually increased the Leaf-Area index which shows that plants are thriving with the increase of CO2 (the air that plants need to thrive) which in turn, produces the O2 that human and animals need to survive.

So you don't want to read an article BY SCIENTISTS on a SCIENTIFIC webpage...but you want MY opinion?
Yes, I wanted your opinion and not to get burried under an avalanche of reading assignments.

My opinion is that global warming doesn't exist but rather we are on an warming side of a natural temperature cycle that goes up and down a max of few degrees C over a long period of time. How long that cycle is? No idea. I haven't read enough to form an opinion of that mostly because I don't care. I don't believe that the world will suffer catastrophic events beyond those that naturally occur within the normal cycles. I don't expect to lose that much land mass to flooding from massive glacier melting, and the evidence that I believe this is that in my 10 year plan is the plan to move to a warmer place and live near the waterfront. If I had the money, I would even consider buying waterfront property.

It is sort of sad that you would rather discuss this with someone whose expertise is more high blood pressure and diabetes...than read a easily read relatively short article on the topic at hand and really educate yourself.

Again, what evidence do you have to the contrary?

I don't have to show you any evidence. I'm content with leaning back and watching the chaos unfold.

Thank you for your input.

I gave 2 articles...neither are hard reading but from expert sources...and both have a lot of pictures... I am sorry that you consider this an avalanche but I don't like to post without solid evidence to back my opinions.

You're certainly free to link to any article you want, as long as they aren't against forum rules.

So you believe that debates and discussions can exist void of evidence or facts? interesting...
I think that's called philosophy.

But this isn't a debate. I'm not trying to convince you of something, I'm not trying to educate myself, I just asked you some simple questions.

Ironic, because this is in the "Debate and discussion" forum.
