Running the risk of attacks from both sides...
I remember being cursed and called racist for going on calls of reported crimes and arresting suspects reported by name. The suspect/criminal was black, the victim (caller) was black, the onlookers were black and I was racist for responding. It got really old. The jurisdiction was around 65% white, 25% black and 10% other. Unfortunately reported suspects and arrests made were black more than half of the time. I wish it wasn't so. And I wish it would change.

On the other hand there are statistics, accounting for race, that show a greater likelihood of violence in interactions of cops and black suspects. I don't know if those statistics can take into account the increasing hatred of cops, BLM, antifa, etc. I can't say if more cops are willing to go rough on black suspects or if more black suspects are willing to go rough on cops. Or some of both.

Couple of issues with the article (and not surprising given that it's from InfoWars, but none the less)

1) It operates on the failed premise that because a group has a higher crime rate, that justifies excessive force by police or somehow diminishes the justification of their anger. The old "Well, had that kid not have shoplifted, there never would've been an incident and they wouldn't have shot him" logic...

2) Fails to take into account population sizes when spewing the "whites are twice as likely to be killed by police statistic". That one is quite easy to debunk:
White people make up roughly 62 percent of the U.S. population but only about 49 percent of those who are killed by police officers. African Americans, however, account for 24 percent of those fatally shot and killed by the police despite being just 13 percent of the U.S. population. As The Post noted in a new analysis published last week, that means black Americans are 2.5 times as likely as white Americans to be shot and killed by police officers.

3) It's taking what's actually partially a poverty thing, and trying to portray it as a "black" thing, there just happens to be a higher amount of blacks living in poverty so it makes it easy for them to employ this logic flaw.


Bottom line is...I doesn't matter if blacks commit 100% of the murders, that doesn't justify police overusing force, nor does it invalidate the anger of the black community when it happens. People like Alex Jones trotting out these statistics for convenient partisan pandering (especially after he spent 10 pre-Trump years railing against the institution of law enforcement to spread his "they're trying to have a police state" paranoia) is a giant red herring.

So if a player is taking a knee because their aunt, uncle, cousins, mom, brother and/or sister have ALL been given undue and prejudice treatment by police, they are underinformed because inner city gangs kill a lot of folks.
