I'm torn between Anne McCaffrey (I love both the Pern and Rowan/Talents series), Orson Scott Card (Ender series and Alvin Maker series) and Piers Anthony's Xanth series. Ender's Game and Speaker For The Dead are probably my two favorite novels while Menolly from McCaffrey's Pern is my favorite character.

Some great authors that you like bvwsmaker! I read all the Pern novels when I was younger and tried to pick them up again but I guess I lost my taste for them. Have you ever read any Tad Williams? His trilogy "Memory,Sorrow, and Thorn" were awesome!
