Will I ever be happy?

I accept and acknowledge Jesus Christ as my Lord & Savior. I am saved, I am baptized. I speak to GOD on an hourly basis if not more. I give thanks to GOD in all things. I live for GOD and strive to stay on His path. I understand I am a sinner and always will be.. I repent many times a day. I am a servant of the Lord. I follow Jesus. I serve many others freely, daily. I help others in many ways and give encouragement through GOD's Word all along the way. I understand that GOD sits as a silversmith to refine me. I understand I need to go through troubles to become who I am supposed to be. I know that GOD knows my limits and will not give me more than I can carry. I know that GOD controls the storm & GOD uses evil for His Good. I surrender myself to Him daily. I praise the Lord and give Him His tithe.

I know I am to be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.. and I strive for this. I look at the good things GOD has around me and am greatful.

I am not fulfilled. Will I ever have lasting joy here in this life?

Many give you good advice, and as sad as it is, you never see peace and joy in their life either.

It's hard road these days, and I'm nearly twice your age, I enjoy life the best way I can but that peace and joy is always missing, and why that is so, is because the brethren around you are the ones who let you down.

Since I came to our Lord Jesus Christ over 50 years ago, I never found a true friend to share with and to bond with, except my wife, and of course our Lord Jesus Christ.

At times I wonder if "joy" really exists.

I found the answers at the end of my pain... GOD's predestined path is what gives meaning to my name (Jeffrey = GOD's peace. Noel = GOD's Birthday. Ellison= Son of Elijah).

When hurting... laugh, when angry... smile, when frustrated, hurt, unbareably down and complaining about the storm... REJOICE in the LORD! For this is when He is doing the greatest work in us.

I found that FOR joy we must Shout.. FOR joy we must Sing! Through Him, from Him, all joy comes! All joy belongs to the Lord. THANK YOU GOD ALMIGHTY! Thank you for the light and bringing me understanding for your lasting joy. His Rod & Staff comfort me.. He is my Shield and Rampart.

Here are many verses on JOY.. I pray they help others seeking joy. SHOUT FOR JOY... SING FOR JOY GOD IS GOOD.. infinately.


1Ch 29:17 I know, my God, that you test the heart and are pleased with integrity. All these things have I given willingly and with honest intent. And now I have seen with joy how willingly your people who are here have given to you.

Dear Jefell. Hapiness is dependant on happenings, and they change all the time. We love the Lord, and He gives us Joy and Peace, and life abundantly. St. Paul tells us, that the Devil, God`s adversary, is strolling around us, like a roaring lion, but we know that Jesus vanquished him on Golgotha. Therefore his roaring is without strenght, and he is only make belief. Whenever you feel down, Jefell, order Satan and his demons to get behind you, in Jesus`s Name, and you will find that they will leave you alone. Maddengly , Satan, or his demons, will soon sneak back again. Therefore, keep ordering in Jesus`s Name, and they will flee at His name. Think of it as strenghtening yous faith, and show the devil how strong we are in Jesus`s Name. It always works with me, Jefell, and I know too, with God on our side, who can be against us? Thanks mate for your encouraging words, but you missed my point, so I will leave it there.

Keep thinkin along those lines and you will find JOY and possibly PEACE.

But, there are other things in a Christian's life that comes to rob and steal, such as the enemy (Satan, his forces, and his servants).

My joy in fact comes from overcoming and conquering the enemy.

It seems to me that you have a fulfilled life, and that must be a blessing to you.

Always be aware, beware, and don't be unaware of the wiles of the enemy, because my task and role is to set the captives free, and deliver them from evil. And when one of those souls are set free and delivered, then my joy for our Lord Jesus Christ is enormeous.

The bible tells us to rejoice in our persecutions and all that stuff. I think of how we feel as a choice. We can choose to be happy and fulfilled with what we have and how we live...or we can decide to sit around and pout about the things we don't have or the troubles in our life. The past two years for me have been incredibly tough and awful and though I've struggled, walking through the valley of the shadow of death, I choose to wake up every morning with a smile on my face I have a good attitude about life and about God and know He is faithful to deliver me the desires of my heart and bring me peace. God does not give us a spirit of fear, but of peace, love and a sound mind. He also says that His grace is sufficient for us.

I also believe that we endure seasons in our life. We can have years of really bad seasons, just like Job, but find ourselves entering good seasons as well. Walking with God includes not just mountain top experiences (where we all want to be) but dredging through the vallies of life. But even in those valley experiences, you choose whether to carry on with a smile or a frown.

Thanks mate, but I can tell you when you feel like Job it's hard at times to bring that smile to your face. But, you just perservere and keep on fighting a good fight of faith, and your problems don't go away but you overcome and conquer and bear your infirmities.
