Wildfires Are Contained!

I live in a rural/mountain community in western NC and we found out the wildfires near us are 100% contained! We are safe, no loss of folks or property...

Praise God!

Now the hard work begins. We need to pray for those less fortunate, and tomorrow some friends and I will be traveling into town with truckloads of donations for the evacuees who lost everything. Please pray with me for them.

Went to town with my truck full of things folks have donated. I thought the drop-off point was at the Red Cross, but I didn't see it.

So I called my hubby who's a cop, and he said, "My precious little dingbat, it's right here in our parking lot."

Hahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!

Mission accomplished.

I just got a call from a family here. They make pet food. They went into overdrive on it for the shelters and evacuees.

And they need Big Blue and me to get it down the mountain, ha!

Can't right now, I have bread baking and a vat of stew going ... but I will!

Do you mean that the fires in Gatlinburg made their way to the other side of the mountains? (like the bear lol) Or were there other fires?

There were many fires, from what we could see.

That's great news. I have friends in Tennessee that prayed over their property and it rained all night. No fire damage for them either! God is amazing!
