  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

My wife is currently working in a nursing home that is understaffed, her bosses boss is putting unrealistic goals and pressures on the employees causing her current boss to threaten to take away her and others medical licenses unless they keep up with these goals. Her dream is to become and nurse and if this happens you all understand the repercussions. Please pray for her and our family we would be more than appreciative. Thank you for taking the time to read and help us. God bless.

Been there myself many years ago as a CNA and a nurse; I feel for her!

The boss can't take away medical licenses (If she isn't a nurse yet, than she must be a CNA?); only the board of registration can do that for just cause, but the nursing home probably won't expose their shortcomings to do so.

They may let her go if they feel she isn't doing her duties, but if the conditions are that bad, she can also report the nursing home.

The best bet is if she and the other workers can meet and talk with boss about the situation and their concerns.
Patient safety and proper treatment should be the main goal for all parties!

Praying for the best outcome in this situation for all involved, and for her vocation as a nurse (much needed as we older nurses retire ;) ):crossrc:
