Wicked- a New Musical

I fell in love with the book Wicked before they ever made it into a stage production so now I am dying to see the musical. A friend of mine gave me the soundtrack just last week and I am totally addicted to all of the music on it. I thought I would share this link with you guys...

For those of you who have read the book AND seen the musical, does the stage production stay very true to the book?

This is one of the greatest new musicals I've seen. Both the story and music r awesome.

I saw it and it was great. The music was fantastic and the sets were awesome. Idina Menzel & Kristen Chenowith were also fantastic.

This is one of the best musicals I've seen in a long time. The music is great and the story is wonderful. I got to see Idina Menzel and Kristin Chenowith(who by the way is a christian) it was way cool.

Just got the soundtrack for Christmas. I am very impressed!! I also feel very blessed to have the opprotunity to see the play on it's tour. My highschool music department is going to take us to see it in Pittsburg. Natrually I am thrilled!!

i just was able to finish the book read the sequil and see it in St. Lois it was awsome.

I have tickets to see it in August and am so excited. I am really enjoying the soundtrack too. Has anyone seen the other Broadway Series plays, such as Joseph or Dr. Doolittle?

to answer a question that was asked awhile ago, the musical really does not stay all that true to the book, its very loosely based on it. i actually happen to think that the musical is a lot better than the book, though.
