When did this turn into Christians complaining about God not giving them enough?
I think you might have accidentally commented in the wrong thread.

Just in case you were correct, I went back and looked. It’s the right thread.

Interesting. Because I also went back and looked and couldn't find anybody talking about God not giving them enough.

It’s about businesses not paying people enough to live on: or do you suggest God pays unfair wages?

Maybe businesses are God, or at least are God's divinely-appointed earthly representatives, doing His holy capitalist bidding.

Are Christians complaining about not getting enough?

Do you believe that He’s has authority over all things?

There's quite a bit more to it than that, but sure. Let's go with that.

God pays His people fair wages.

I wasn't aware God paid anybody anything.

Do you believe that He’s has authority over all things?

Authority? Sure. Do I believe he directs and micromanages and can be held personally responsible for everything? No. And I don't think you do, either. If somebody is punching you in the face, do you blame God for punching you in the face or do you blame the guy with the bloodied fists? If a man is neglecting his family and letting his kids go hungry, do you blame God for not feeding them or do you blame the father?

Unless you subscribe to some weird theology I've never heard you claim, I don't think you blame God for those things or much of anything else that would fall under the banner of man's maltreatment of each other. So I have to wonder why you're trying to invent a theology now to excuse things done by man.

Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shifting shadow.

The complaints are about not getting enough vacation or what someone thinks is fair vacation.

I try to not blame God for anything. But those Christians who complain about their pay or vacation are sure blaming God.
So I have to wonder why you're trying to invent a theology now to excuse things done by man.
I’m not.

Ok, so you’re imposing some threshold between things you blame on man and things you blame on God. Can you describe this threshold and where it comes from? Is it laid out in the Bible or is it completely arbitrary? Why do we blame the negligent father but not the negligent employer?

No, people are blaming businesses and managers. You’re the one equating them to God.
I’m not.

Well, unless you can articulate some larger theological theory, I’m not going to be convinced that you’re not just twisting scripture to exonerate capitalists and pwn some pro-labor libs.

Blaming them for what?

I think the sovereignty and providence of God are pretty large.

But you understand that’s not what is being discussed, here?
It certainly was. People started complaining about how little vacation they get, as if it’s some sort of entitlement.

I’m sorry, but I can’t see how that addresses my question.
I dont know about God so I dont hold to the belief that He (or anyone) is in control of all things. Its possible, I suppose. But it doesnt feel that way.

Do you believe God is in control of all things?
