Do you think about all He's done for you? How great His mercy is towards you?
Who am I to deserve His blessings? Just a mere man. A sinful man of flesh and bone. Think about that. Who Is He? The creator of all things. And He cares for us.

Amazing isn't it?

Amen!

It's been 6 years since I first posted this thread. I am still following Christ and love the Lord with all my heart. The tears still flow when I think about Him.

He has truly blessed me and it's clear He has been with me every minute of every day of my life, watching over me and protecting me.

I am so grateful for His love.

Let me just preface with letting you all know that I am a Christian, Saved, and Baptized. I have been all my life. I'm 35 years old, a husband and father.

I'm active duty military, and for most of my life, I have not behaved like a Christian would, a follower of Christ. I am a sinner, and I continue to sin. I feel bad about it. I try and do better, but I always end up sinning again.

My wife and children are Saved and Baptized. My wife and I grew up in Baptist Churches. I really don't have a denomination anymore. I used to read the Bible all the time when I was a teenager.

Now on to my question. Whenever I hear a Christian song that touches my heart, I start to cry. When I talk to my Children about Jesus, I cry. When I pray, sometimes I cry. When I watch a movie, like King of Kings, or the Ten Commandments, or The Passion, or even a movie with peoples lives being touched by God, I cry. Not bawling per say, just tears streaming out.

I don't cry at any other time. I'm not an over emotional person. Some people find me rather stoic and have told me this.

When we sit in Church and a person gets up and sings a devotional to Jesus, I weep. I can't control it.

Why does this happen?

That's the Lord ministering to your heart.. this is a good and healthy thing.

A sign that your heart's in the right place.

There's time I've wept over mistakes or sins I've made too. This godly sorrow is Biblical.

'10 For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death.

11 For behold this selfsame thing, that ye sorrowed after a godly sort, what carefulness it wrought in you, yea, what clearing of yourselves, yea, what indignation, yea, what fear, yea, what vehement desire, yea, what zeal, yea, what revenge! In all things ye have approved yourselves to be clear in this matter.'

(2 Corinthians 7:10-11)

'godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented (regretted) of'

We're all a work in progress.. and God is faithful every step of the way.

Christ's got us.. His sacrifice is more than enough, we just need to keep seeking the Lord and His way.

We know His way.. it's all in His Word. :)

Edit: Just noticed this was 10 years ago but glad to see your update! You're awesome, and God is good.
