My career search teacher told us that those letters can change, and there were several people in the class who had changed, and I know some other people who have changed one or several of those letters.

Cultural desires skew people towards certain results, and people can be mistyped.. but as far as true type goes, it generally doesn't change without brain damage.

I used to be an INFJ (though only slightly more N than S) and now I'm (well, online quizzes) testing as an ISFJ. So, that's probably true. People often change over time.

Are you suggesting I have brain damage? :p

I'm an INTJ. I can assure you that we are our own worst critics. Being a perfectionist doesn't always ensure a perfect life.

Additionally, I find myself to have very little to speak about with my coworkers, who like to watch shows like Jersey Shore and The Real Housewives of New Jersey (???)! It's difficult because in high school, I think most of my friends were also INTJs/Rational Minds. Some went to Caltech, UC Irvine, and MIT. It's not that I am antisocial - I do like people - it's just that I'm not in an environment that I thrive in. Find someplace, do something that you will thrive in/at!

Sri, do you mind if I ask why you think you are a failure?

I have not studied psychology much, but it is my unerstanding that the Myers-Briggs measures tendencies and preferences.

It is a mistake to take it like it is parameters for what behavior one is capable of.

I may tend to be "judging" and prefer to have everything planned and structured, but nothing is stopping me from saying, "I am going to sell everything that I own, start walking, and go wherever the cash in my pocket takes me".

Again, it is simply tendencies and preferences. It is not some limiting trait.

I could be wrong, though.
