Romans 5:3-5 Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perserverance, perserverance, character; character, hope. And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirity, whom he has given us.

Just trust that you are going through what you are for a reason and the Lord knows what's best. Even when things seem the worst, they are being worked out by Him for the best for you.

For instance, when I was younger around 20, I thought I was soo in love with this guy. We were not good for each other at all, but I still wanted to be with him and we'd even looked at engagement rings. I prayed to God to let me know if that's who He'd planned me to marry and within days the guy actually broke it off with me. Now at the time I was CRUSHED, but now that I have my husband I am soo thankful the Lord allowed to happen, what happened. He's a wonderful husband and father.

Remember when all of Jesus' friends on earth abandoned Him? Remember when your's and mine and everyone elses sins were laid on him and the Father even turned away?

I'm not trying to say that you are in some kind of self pity...just trying to put things in perspective. Sometimes God is silent and inactive in our lives...I know exactly where you're at friend...

Romans 8:18- for I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are nothing to be compared to the glory that is to be revealed in us.

Try getting on the prayer request section of this site and pray for some others...pray for Christians in Islamic countries or China...in general, just do what God has called you to do...(I know, easier said than done)...I'm prayin for ya

Sometimes, it is only through brokenness that we learn obedience. We follow after Jesus who was broken. Can we expect better than our Master? God will turn the hard times of ourlives into strength in faith and blessing if we will remain faithful and abide in His Word.

Hebrews 5:8 So even though Jesus was God’s Son, he learned obedience from the things he suffered.

Mat. 10:24 The disciple is not above his master, nor the servant above his lord. 25 It is enough for the disciple that he be as his master, and the servant as his lord. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more shall they call them of his household?

The problem here is that it's hard to comment expertly on your message because it is so brief and lacks important details.I'll grab on to some of your words and try to flesh them out with some ideas for you to think about.

"God is no where to be found".These words give an indication of disappointment or even worse, anger with God.Both feelings will prevent your prayer from being answered.Sorry to be so blunt with you but it is the truth.God answers the prayers of the faithful.Disappointment with God shows a lack of faith. You must stand ready expecting God to answer your prayers.

"Prayed" It's not enough to just pray, you have to pray with the right words.Your prayers must be specifically worded and must not be requesting a violation of any Biblical teachings.A good example are the messages written by persons who are praying that God will restore a relationship that was filled with pre-marital sex. They should be thanking God that they are finally free of sin.

"Many days" God operates on a totally different time frame than we do.Many days is an instant to God.In fact the Bible states that 1000 years of our time is one day for God.If you are expecting God to answer your prayers after "many days" of prayer, you are not understanding God's ways.

"Pain increases" This is evidence that you have not mentally and/or physically removed yourself from your source of pain.It is very common for people to inflict far more pain on themselves through thinking about some major event in their life than the event itself caused. While you are waiting for God to answer your biblically-based prayer, you should seek help from a psychologist or clinical social worker who can help you recover from your loss. You'll find they will provide you with the compassion, understanding and caring you need. This is an extremely important instruction that you must follow. The Holy Spirit just told me to give it to you.So I guess that wipes out your belief that "God is no where to be found".I just found Him! HE IS NOW ON YOUR CASE.Praise Him for stepping in so quickly. Now get your grief-sticken mind to a Christian therapist.God will answer your prayer through human treatment.

I'm going through the same type of a situation... I believe that God is testing me, like he tests all Christians. Even Christ himself. Jesus went through trials/tests while in the desert for 40 days... God is always there, even though it might not always feel like it. Sometimes, I wonder what God is testing me for... what do I have to do to pass the test? But I know the answer to that before I ask it. It's about "trust." We need to learn to totally rely and trust in God and stop trying to do everything our way. We need to have patience, because God's time is not "our time." We need to realize that God knows best, even if we don't understand it.

As far as therapy goes; that's quite an assumption that E.P. made off of a few of your words. Just focus on Christ and everything else will fall into place... in time. Do what you know is biblical, and even if a year goes by without a word from God... you will know where you stand.

When you are an infant Christian, God holds your hand... but when you mature, He lets go and rejoices when you still choose into Him.

life sometimes throws us for a spin..God is always there.. just because you dont feel him.. does not mean he is not there.. we are all thrown obsticles .. but we have to learn how to deal with what ever comes.. thats just life.. we have a father to pray to and lean on in our bad times.. he will never leave us .. or forsake us.. hes there.. have faith and when you see God move in your situation. you will know that God was there all along. we are all here in these chat forums helping one another ..and that alone is God useing other believers to help in any situation.. i will keep you in my prayers .. i dont know the situation you are in.. but God does.. talk to people close to you.. there is always someone you can talk to about anything that is bothering you and getting you down.. i will remember you in my prayers..dont lose faith.. keep seeking God and read the word... he is there..

Read/study Isaiah chapter 58. It talks about fasting and not yet finding God while doing so. It also talks about what God considers appropriate for fasting and how to be heard. It concludes with a promise that if you do it appropriately that God will hear you and you will walk in His light and with His Glory.

I can understand being under attack and suffering. But the good news is that if you keep seeking God's will you will be eventually blessed.

I would also add that you need to find more ways to put God's word into action in your life. Do the sacrifices of good deeds and charity. Also of kind encouraging words to those who are down. When people are downhearted, lift them up for that is pleasing to God. Jesus will be with You my friend.

I too am a sinner living by Grace. Only Grace can lift me up and allow me to serve God. Only Grace can allow me to know God. Without Grace my sins would keep me far from God. Yet with seeking and praying and serving I am drawing closer.

before i was misserable. i was depressed for many years. wanted to kill myself since i was like 11. i hated my life, life in total, everyone, and everthing. i ofter wondered if there was a god why did he have to desert me like this. why did he just kill me. some god. left me like this...

i know chirst now. one night i just gave up. i cryed to god to help. send someone. do something. i couldnt stand it anymore. i would give my who testimony here but i later came to know chirst. i believe in him. i was talking to someone on msn a week ago and i thought about this. if i never was depressed and sank so low, if i never gave everything up and got rid of my pride or whatever was holding me back and humbled myself to god, i probably wouldnt be a chirstain. i would believe in him nor right now be trying to follow him.

im planing on becomeing a counsuler at the camp i accepted chirst at. i dont want ppl to go threw what i did. i want to help ppl before then. i never would talk to ppl like this before. god opened a whole new life to me. and it was when i was needed it most.

he will never leave you. hes there. wether you know it or not he is. god wanted to get my attention. mabey now he wants yours. ask he want he wants.

ill pray for you.

God is waiting for the perfect time...sometimes we disciples must go through pain to bring more into the kingdom...Satan attacks those who are lovers with Christ...we are chosen targets because we love God...but the glory we will experience in heaven for doing our duty will be much greater than any pain could make us turn from...I would rather suffer tremendous pain here than go to hell because I know that something more amazing than ever awaits me.
