Why does Jesus tell people not to tell others about what He has done? After He heals some people, He tells them not to tell others. Why is this?

It is a fullfilment of prophecy for one, for two, it is a sign of humiliation, for three, it was a test of obediance.

It's a kind of "publicity control".

The reason the Bible gives is because His time had not yet come.

Their interpretation of OT Messianic prophesies was that the Messiah would come and become a leader that would lead the people of Palestine out of the thumb of oppression through outside rule and would lead them to world prominence. Jesus was to be no part of this misconception, since His work was to lead people to freedom through grace and to release them through fulfilment of the Law. I still dont understand why Jesus wouldnt want more people knowing that He had been healing these people. I'd think that Jesus would want His sheep to know how their shepard was.
Another thing, there are parts where He tells them not to tell anyone, than others where He tells them to go tell their people all that God has done for them.
Why does He do this?

I think part of it would be the crowds that would follow him. Also remember he told His mother, it was not yet His time.
