Why are you calling yourself a Christian (not saying you aren't.. don't want to break the rules here) when you don't even know what the "Good News" of Salvation is? How can you be serious. I just really wonder how one can be a Christian and not know that the good news is that they are saved because of the salvation offered through the shed blood of Christ.

Is it possible to tell somebody about Salvation offered through Jesus Christ without the bible? How do you propose to do that? You can't even mention John 3:16 without the bible, or even discuss who Jesus is without it.

I question your motives now. I seriously do. On every post I have read of yours this evening, you are attempting to refute the importance of God's word, the importance of the spirit, the good news of Salvation. What is left?

i think that you may have slightly misunderstood me. probably my language is at fault, i apologise. let me explain where i think our differences lie.

i think that our ideas of "good news" differ. i may be wrong, but it would specculate that your idea of good news is that jesus saves us from gods wrath as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. for me this isnt good news, i simply dont believe that it is gods intention to punish anyone, and certainly would disagree with any idea that god somehow "has to" punish sin.

you have a right to question my motives, so may i reply by saying that i do refute certain ideas about the importance of "gods word" as you (in my opinion) incorrectly call it. i would never question the importance of the spirit, i would certainly say that the holy spirit is more important than the bible (especially seeing as a lot of the function of the new testiment is to testify to what the holy spirit was doing and saying at the time). as for the "good news of salvation", of course i wouldnt disagree with that, but i would ask anyone to say what they are being saved from.
