Simple question - why should I worship God?

Before worship we must contemplate to truly appreciate. Then worship is a natural response.

Nice topic. As a godless heathen I consider worship to be one of the redeeming qualities of religion. Anyone who has experienced the worship of a lover will know what I mean.

This thread seems to have gone occasionally off the rails from a discussion of whether one should ever worship another person, an intriguing question I think, to a run-of-the-mill theodicy. Better to probe the heights and pitfalls of worship as in the OP.
