Oh, I get ya. I thought you were saying that you were "going to scream" because Greatcloud makes such impossibly bizarre and bad arguments. My graph was a joke about that BTW... check the y-axis.

My family up in Seattle are almost losing their minds with all the miserably wet weather up there. Completely the opposite of a drought. And with the new NOAA reports and the news calling it a "double dip La Nina", my father is about ready to break down and cry. Perhaps you and them should trade houses for a year or so. If anything you'll at least have something completely different to complain about.

They show global temperatures over the past few years and you can see that the line is going down!!
Ya -- well -- that's science for ya.

Temperature going down can only mean one thing, can't it? global warming!

If NOAA can't show you that AGW is a hoax, then what about this recently published data by NASA? They show global temperatures over the past few years and you can see that the line is going down!!

This has been dealt with elsewhere. Look at the numbers on the scale at the left of the graph. The lowest temperatures are at the top of the graph.
We are forced to conclude that you did not know this, and were very careless, or you knew it, and were trying to deceive, which would make you a liar (Perish the thought!), or you are (Like the person who first posted it!) trying to see if anyone would take the poisoned bait, thus exposing them as careless or dishonest.

I'm not worried about global warming since afterall its just a natural phase in the global climate.
And extinction is a natural part of biological history. We can wipe out our own species, and drive it to extinction, simply by denying the evidence because it is economically inconvenient. And is is all part of a natural process! By your reasoning, we can eat castor beans and die of ricin poisoning, but it is all natural, so we can add them to the stew without worry!

global warming is just something Al Gore thought up in his sleep to help his GREEN companies
You do realize, I hope, that the basic science regarding global warming largely solidified by the late 80's, long before Al Gore stepped onto the scene?

Get ready for some low temperatures. This La Nina will increase the trend which is headed down.

You do realize, I hope, that a decade is not long enough a span of time to determine the overall trend? If you actually look at the data over a longer time scale, the increasing trend is blatantly obvious, and the last ten years are nothing special.

And how can you honestly claim that the Earth is cooling when the last 10 years are ten of the 11 warmest on record?

"Like"? One and the same.

And to be honest, it wasn't an attempt to poison bait. GC has more than a few times posted graphs that screw around with the y-axis to mislead the viewer. I was creating a very obvious strawman, one so obviously a strawman that I hoped I didn't even need to punch it. It's also a good way to show how many of the graphs he posts are intentionally and deceptively misleading.

It wasn't my intention or my fault that GC ended up swallowing this graph hook, line, sinker and tried to use it as evidence for his position.

I do not believe in man caused GW. I believe that GW is caused by the natural causes excluding mankinds contributations. Such as the sun and planetary motions that flucuate our orbit around the sun, volcanoes and El Nino and La Nina also the wind patterns like the jet stream. Also clouds have a lot to do with climate. Man has very little to do with climate change.

And yet you keep trying to say that global warming isn't even happening. You're also clearly ignoring huge amounts of evidence to the contrary.

To answer your misconceptions:
1. Solar activity & climate: is the sun causing global warming?
2. Do volcanoes emit more CO2 than humans?
3. Global warming and the El Niño Southern Oscillation

And the jet stream statement is so off the wall nobody even considers it reasonable.

Yes I realize it is only a decade but it is the latest and last 10 years. So what have you done for me lately ? The fact remains that if this continues as it has been the temperature will go down globally. As it now stands the temperature ,through all the noise is a downward trend.

All you're seeing is noise, not a downward trend. When you take too short of time periods, the trend is all over the place. When you take longer periods, the overall upward trend becomes clear as day.

This is fun. Look at all the crazy global warming and insane global cooling that happened over the past 15 years.

Here's another WoodsforTrees graph showing crazy trends for the 1980-1995 period. Once again you can see tons of global warming on some lines and ice age now type cooling on the others. It's madness. I did add one last trend line to that graph. 1980-present. Look at how well it fits.
