No one said he was.
We don't accept a nature. It is what you are or have.
And even if we are saved, we still retain the susceptibility to sin. The just man falls seven times a day, remember.
We don't become angelic or sinless even though we have been redeemed. As some like to put it, "Christians aren't perfect; they're just forgiven."
I just don't see how witchcraft is even considered an issue in Christianity today. My impression is that only the highly superstitious are concerned about it, whereas most Christians are not worried about a witch casting a spell on them. Perhaps my impression is wrong though, and the concern is more commonplace than I thought.
Maybe we should get out a sacrifice again and hold a test to see whose "witchcraft" (oh, pardon, whose deity, of course) will set it on fire?
Black magic always backfires.
You are making christianity sound like the force from star wars.
Not those whose sins have not been forgiven, no.So will sinners enter the kingdom of the lord then?
Black magic never backfires. Nor does white magic. Or blue magic.
Magic does not work. Nowhere. Never. Not for Pagans, not for Wiccans... and not for Christians.
Stories and confirmation bias... that is all you have.
If you could really do a "test" - like in the story of Eliah - people would see that you are up tp something. But you cannot.
There is no magic. There is no witchcraft.
You are making christianity sound like the force from star wars.
Not those whose sins have not been forgiven, no.
But all of us do sin, even those who have been saved by Faith in Christ Jesus. Focus on what a sin IS, and it will be easier to understand this if you're still having trouble.
I understand, but that is the answer to the question you asked me in your earlier post. All this time I have not been looking at whether I am sinning or not, but rather what I can do better.
It is my belief that if we dwell on the negative it may stunt our spiritual growth. - In each mistake we make God has put a lesson.
Have I been doing thing wrong?
I understand, but that is the answer to the question you asked me in your earlier post.
Hard to say. If you don't think that we have transgressed the law and the will of God, and if you haven't accepted Christ as your Lord and Savior, I'd say "yes, there's something missing." But if you do, and if you have, I'd say that you are exactly right to be seeking to live a more Christlike life, a more spiritual life.
In other words, the answer to that question depends largely on the order of things. No one can be right with God until he recognizes that he has sinned, repents of it, and accepts Christ. THEN, the rest follows.
