Why so many denominations?

Jerusalem church was apart of the other churches mentioned in the bible. The Catholic one is THE CHURCH. The one founded upon Saint Peter in Matthew 16:18, the same man that Christ intrusted His religion, the redefined Judaism, the true religion of God. Mind (sic) want to learn some history look.

I know that you won't open your eyes until you are good and ready, but I would check your knowledge of church history if I were you.

Also, this discussion is going to be rather fruitless and even divisive. This is not the place to discuss the merits of your version of church history, nor is this the proper forum in which to attempt this discourse.

I don't understand why christians are splitting in any denomination.

Because we all interpret the bible differently! As long as they teach salvation is only possible through Jesus, that's the most important thing.

Oh not this again. Peter was a pebble. The pebble is the catholic church. Therefore Peter is the catholic church. Don't believe it, read the Bible, Peter is called a pebble. See, it all proves that Jesus said He'd build His church on the Catholic church.

Well, Peter was called the "little rock", but Jesus said He would build the Church on the BIG Rock, for Jesus is the Rock of ages, not Peter (the little rock).

I can't tell if you were speaking in sarcasim,

but Jesus said "nothing" about the building of His church on the Catholic church...If He did, give me the references please...
