  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

This is a question D. James Kennedy came up with:

"If you were to stand before God and he were to ask you, 'Why should I let you into my heaven?', what would you say?"

"You shouldn't, but Your Son Redeemed me so You might consider that."

If you were to stand before God and he were to ask you, "Why should I let you into my heaven?", what would you say?
"Lord Jesus Christ, son of God, have mercy on me a sinner."

We may call Him Daddy Paul says in Romans 8. Which dad asks his child if they should be allowed in the house?

So I believe that all those who have faith in Jesus Christ are children of God and most welcome to come Home.

And those who would if they knew him.

What could anyone say that would warrant them entering.?

The question is designed to determine whether or not a Christian knows what will get them into heaven. For example per Matthew 7:22, saying "Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?" would be the wrong answer.

I appreciate what you were asking, I think my original question falls in line with your thinking.

Because you died for my sins, were buried and rose again the third day to provide for me eternal life. I trust in you as the ALL-sufficient means of my salvation. (1 Corinthians 15:1-4; Romans 1:16)

I didn't invent this. It's been around a long time. If you Google the question you'll find a lot of sites addressing it if you need help figuring it out.

I don’t need help figuring it out, ‘my original question shows that, as it’s inline with scriptures.

So your answer to God would be: "What could anyone say that would warrant them entering.?"

I thought you were asking me that question before proceeding.

No I wouldn’t say that as I’m fully aware there is nothing I could say that would get me into heaven.

I don't know what I'd say. Job seemed pretty confident when talking to his miserable comforters, but then was totally disarmed once God showed up.

Who can say what words will come out of my mouth?
