If God is for me and not against me why does He not stop me when I start complaining?

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
Why not stop me?

He loves us enough for us not to live like puppets. Like James of Arc mentioned, He has given us free will. He is for you in wanting the best for you and knowing what's best for you.

It's your choice whether you say something or take an action. God has given us his Word so that we can know what our problems are how to handle issues we face (which is always through Him). He has no interest in making us slaves; he wants us to choose to become good children who make good decisions on our own. He will help.

"Do all things without complaining and disputing, that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world, holding fast the word of life, so that I may rejoice in the day of Christ that I have not run in vain or labored in vain." (Philippians 2:14-16)
So, yes God does not want us to complain. And in this scripture we see His purpose for us stopping our complaining and arguing > so that we may become the way His love is "blameless and harmless" and "without fault". This is about becoming like Jesus and discovering how to relate in love and care for any and all people.
Therefore, our complaining is anti-love. I hope this motivates you to stop complaining.
Our complaining can degrade us spiritually away from how we can personally share and relate with God and as family with one another Jesus people.
And possibly my complaining is because of not having what I want. And so, just removing the actions of complaining is not solving my real problem, of how I am still about myself > I need to deny myself and take up my cross daily and follow Jesus > Luke 9:23-24.

Does the sun have something to do with why you complain? Or is it ego when you think you know what would be better for your life than you believe God knows? You most likely complain more at night because that is when you are left alone with God without distractions.
You have a choice whether or not you are going to focus on what you don't like about yourself or your life OR if you are going to focus on what is right and what you are grateful for.
