Why isn't Christianity another form of Judaism.

Why is it its own religion?

It seem to come from Judaism.

The official yet unoften heard name of Christianity is Judeo-Christianity (i.e., historically related to both Judaism and Christianity as indicated in the term "Judeo-Christian tradition"). Many Christians are seemingly unaware that they worship according to Judeo-Christian tradition, and that they are Judeo-Christians.

Christian evangelicals, fundamentalists, orthodox Christians, or whatever denomination a traditional Christian church affiliates with, they all have the same pro-Judaism roots whether or not they know or admit to it.

untrue... the idea of the righteous suffering in place of the living is well borne out in ancient Jewish writings, particurly the aggadic materials

untrue... Judaism teaches (at least in some of the orthodox schools) that people are created with two souls, the neshamah and the nephesh. The latter has an urge to go down and the former an urge to reach up. There is a huge difference between original sin and sinning. One does not necessarily imply the other.

They need to do their homework better, historically Judaisms allowed for the sephirot as is evidence through the kabbalistic philosophies. The idea that God is indivisible is absolutely true. The new testament for the most part teaches a binitarian position. The concept of the trinity is simply just that, a concept, a dogma. It is the 'best' effort we have yet produced that can adequately explain what is revealed in the Scriptures. We need only look inside Judaism at concepts such as the Sophia (wisdom), Logos, Devar, Memra and such things to see that just as the one Sun in the sky can produce a multiplicity of sunbeams, so too the One God can make himself known in a multiplicity of ways. Though it is still the one God.

In some respects this is true... the Jewish tradition speaks of the enduring Spirit Messiah who resides in heaven, to whom all believers in the God of Israel will be united with. The problem in this section, is that it makes no distinction between the Olam Haeh and the Olan Haba, that is the Messianic Age and the Age to Come.

No not really, it teaches that all Israel have a share in the world to come. What their share is, is open to debate.

The viewpoint expressed here in regards the 'Law' is accurate. The viewpoint from the Christian side is flawed. The Law is not meant to be kept as a 100% issue. It has safeguards within it for when you do fail. Therefore to 'keep all the law' you have to fail. The Law is described as holy, righteous. The commandments in the NT are described as good. The heavenly words delivered by God to Moses echo through eternity and they are not subject to be changed. What is being described here in principally a Lutheran position that pits Grace against Works.. the problem was, the the 'Law' is not meant to gain you salvation. In fact from a purely tradional Jewish perspective, the way to relationship with God is based on the blessings and promises to the Patriarchs. The Law explicitly says this.

It is this way now, but it did not used to be. Active Proselytizing is openly discussed in ancient Jewish writings. Both focred conversion to Judaisms and by free will. Proselytizing was only outlawed later by Rome in the 2nd centry and Judaism never really recovered from this mentality.

Whoever wrote this article was either a poorly informed Christian with little grasp of Church history, or a poorly informed Jewish person with little grasp of their own history. Either way it is a sad set of presumptions and caricatures.

I'm confused because Mormonism comes from other parts of Christianity. And we still belong to the same group.

Judaism broke away from God whilst the Jews were in captivity, as Jesus pointed out several ways...

paganised Roman Christianity broke away from Hebrew Christianity of Jesus [the Jew] when Rome decreed Sunday in place of sabbaths and started killing Hebrew Christians for not obeying Rome , keeping holy sabbaths instead... and Roe razed the seven churches of God to the ground killing and scattering God's saints , instigated hierarchical Christianity of many sinners in place of the couple of thousand saints following Jesus and doing as he commanded, looking for the children of the lost house of Israel amongst the gentiles worldwide... the 'temple for Christian saints became their own bodies as that is the only place one can find the kingdom of God in this world, very different in the next...

Mormonism is just one of many groups split off by sinners who saw the faults of mainline Christianity, but didnt have spirit baptism of saints or realise one could get it only by ceasing to sin...

the bible gives a very different picture because the scriptures originally reflected the truth of God whereas modern Judeo-Christian movement is toward the unified world religion of Satan -Rev 13:3-4-

and just as Rome changed the day of worship making sabbath-keeping illegal , punishable by death by order of Roman Emperors [who were later claimed to be popes under authority of Peter [whom they had crucified for keeping sabbaths] , an authority Jesus never gave up ever, still has as high priest of his church of saints [soon to be immortal king-priests in the new earth kingdom come] ... Peter would hardly give his pagan executioners control even if he had had such control. it is simply a lie on which modern Christianity rests almost exclusively...

the true Hebrew Christian saints were thus easily identified and routed by Rome, offering no resistance as Jesus commands... they were crucified, put to the sword, fed to lions but Rome's only solution to the Christian problem, the popularity of Jesus' teachings , was to steal Christ's name for their new pagan religion with pagan Roman days in place of holy days of memorial to God's plan, a hierarchy of sinners as mock priests in place of Jesus' saints living in equality with Jesus alone as their leader, pagan rituals , pagan buildings , pagan riches, but with the priests dressed up as OT priests of the defunct Levite priesthood of the old covenant [because new covenant priests have no uniform, they live amongst the poor as poor, mostly alone, sharing everything with the poor , often starving , always looking for the lost house of Israel's children amongst the gentiles for the next generation of priests of God because saints have short lives in this earth...

one cannot really conceive of their being more differences between the fake sinner 'ministers of righteousness' of Satan and the saints of God...

but there are only around two thousand saints alive at any one time [Rev 7:3-8, Jude 1:14] whereas the number of fake 'sinner priests' [oxymoron] is many hundreds of thousands alive today ... Satan is winning easily , saints can scarcely keep up with the death rate4 of saints but that is exactly what God allows , and for good reason...

God requires Jesus' church of saints to be 144,000 by the time of Jesus' return as that is the ideal number of priest-kings for the kingdom... if each of them saved only as many as Jesus saved in this earth then that would be 20 billion gentiles saved in the new earth, a figure of the same order as the number of men that ever lived... so we can see why it is enough for God's power process [as described in Jesus' parables of his kingdom come]

the facts of scripture are then that religion will unite , almost all Jews and all Christian sinners will think Satan is the Christ, not the final Antichrist , and the last saints alive will be persecuted by the whole world as 'heretics ' to Satan's mass religion of sinners...

and there is the greatest thing about the Truth of the Love of God, it captures everyone in the end ... those who are first just help the rest to see Love is the best wat for everyone to live... and God's great Plan ensures no-one fails to get the message , that it all ends happily despite that it gets beyond terrible after eviil rules this earth almost completely... God could not stop men choosing to be ruled in religion and secular life by men who peddle easy lies for a living ... it was our worst mistake , there are terrible consequences we chose by trusting liars to run the earth and religion of men...
