Um, if you read the Bible, it says the majority take the wide path to destruction and only few take the narrow to eternal life.

Alot of famous and powerful people deny Christ, mock Him, mock righteousness (what is right or holy/Godly) and seek money and power instead of eternal life.
That would be why they go to the Lake of Fire - not just the pot.

The drugs are just the result/symptom of their Godless condition.

LAWL at the list.. just because you smoke doesn't mean you're going to hell. It's certainly not a godly lifestyle and disables you from your potential to serve God at your highest potential. Repent from smoking and stop.

This name on the list stuck out to me for one reason
• Aleister Crowley

He was an OCCULTIST (just to name a few things)
As if we'd say the pot would send him to hell, not that minor other stuff like occultism

Interesting list...but just as I would never make any assumption who will or will not go to Hell...it's not smoking pot that gets you a ticket to Hell...it's an unrepentant heart that does not accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior...

...and if I may be so bold...it's an uncircumcised heart...that continues to desire to walk in the flesh rather than the Spirit that leads people to continue to do things...anything....that goes expressly against God's will for our lives and what GOD calls sin and rebellion...

So...IMHO...doesn't matter one little bit what we THINK is right or wrong...but what God says is right or wrong and He's pretty clear about it in His word.

Now we all have our "struggles" nice word for "sin condition" I believe the difference is whether or not we revel in those "struggles" or with a repentant heart allow the Holy Spirit to continue to circumcise our hearts and keep transforming us more and more into the likeness of Christ Jesus.

Don't know either, but he sure put out some great tunes
that's definitely debatable - I never liked the band or their music or much of the grunge genre.

I was referring to his suicide - and he also did alot of heroine (so did his wife Courtney Love)

I could say that pot is usually the precursor to heavier drug use later on.

My youngest daughter was into grunge/punk and drugs in Junior High and is the only reason I even knew of that group. She ran away twice in 2 yrs, once when she was 13 and again at 14.

Never a dull moment with kids. :)

I'm SO glad that my friend gave me this link. I am a Christian and so is my husband. I see absolutely nothing wrong with smoking pot for "medicinal" reasons..to just get high YES. My husband had back surgery several years ago and has 3 blown discs. The pain pills that the doctor put him on made him dopey, restless, couldn't sleep, and the side affects alone were scary!!! His doctor also put him on Prozac which can be a mind altering drug. I took those and flushed them down the toilet. He ended up buying his first bag of weed 10 years ago, and it has been the best drug for pain and relaxation that he has ever been on. He takes a couple of hits right before he goes to bed and sleeps like a baby.
God created every plant in the universe, and it is man that has abused it's usefulness.
Eph 5:18 ~ And be not drunk with wine, WHEREIN IS EXCESS; but be filled with the Spirit;
I guarentee that when Jesus walked the earth their wine was "fermented". I bet they had a rip roarin' time at the wedding at Cana when the pots never ran out. Anything in excess is a sin...drinking, gluttoney, smoking pot for the wrong reasons etc...NOT for a natural pain remedy!!

The only thing i agree with you on is your siggy. lol

Id also like to know where in the bible it says that smoking pot is to be used for pain. Or anything else for that matter.
Also...id love to know where in the bible it tells that God made it.
Do you think God made beer as well? And cocaine?

Unless you think some 2nd God made it, I really don't understand why you don't think God made the Marijuana plant. And the Plant cocaine comes out of. Is God not the Creator? Do you believe something else creates animals and plants on the earth? Don't say evil again, because evil is not a god that creates Plants. God creates plants.

Corin, not only did you not defend what you said, but you said something that does not make sense. With awnsers like this, I must from now on take all of your posts and old posts with just a grain of salt. Or flat out ignore them as false. Because there is no logic behind them.

Genesis 1:11 Then God said, "Let the land produce vegetation: seed-bearing plants and trees on the land that bear fruit with seed in it, according to their various kinds." And it was so.

God made marijuana. God made the plant that cocaine is extracted from. But it's not His fault that mankind has taken what The Lord made and used it for evil and selfish ways. It's just like a singer or musician taking the talent God gave them and instead of singing the praises of Him, singing songs about sex, drugs, and money!(sound familiar?)
