  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Everytime i seem to not worry for some reason i feel like i am doing somthing wrong but when i do worry i feel like i am doing something right? Most of the worries are about not going to Heaven and what i need to do to get there. But when i stop worrying i feel odd like i should be worrying about somthing. Why is this? and has anyone else had this feeling?

Yup. I know exactly what you mean. I've had that for a long time. It is just the Liar trying to mess with you. The Bible says that if you call on the name of the Lord you'll be saved. So, you are going to heaven, case closed. The Lord will restrain you from making a mortal mistake. Smile, we'll be together in heaven one day.

When you worry it means that you are allowing Satan and his forces a foothold in your life.

What are you really worrying about---eternal life or all you past failings, which you have shared on many occasions over the past few months.

Blessings.

You are worrying about you not getting to heaven? The question would be: are you DOING something about it?

Godly sorrow leads to repentance.

If your worrying leads you to change your life and draw closer to God, then t's a good worrying, it's godly sorrow (over your condition). If you simply worry and don't start "seeking the kingdom first", it's useless.

If you draw really close to God, you will stop your worrying. You will love Him then (truly) and will trust in His love for you (but only when you draw really close to Him).
Through studying the Word, meditating on the Word, talking to God, and letting Him work in your heart and perform necessary "surgery" on your life if you are not where you should be.

I used to be a "regular" Christian (just going to church, reading my Bible and praying) and I used to doubt my salvation from time to time.

But then I decided to really study the Word, and really draw close to God, and really put Him first in my life, and I don't doubt anymore.

I once read that worrying is like this:

A little child has toy that gets accidently broken, but is repairable.
The trusting child would take the broken toy to his loving father & wait patiently while he carefully fixes it where it won't easily break again.
The anxious child would take the broken toy to his loving father, but take it back when it drags out & try to fix it himself, possibly damaging it beyond repair.
Which are you?

Worry IS a sin, it's saying we don't trust our Heavenly Father to care enough & be compitent enough to fix our problem.
