Why is there not another flood?

Once upon a time, God sent a great flood to the Earth as the people was in a mess.
The world now is too in a mess, many people belive and serve the evils, even Christian murder and steal. In my point of view...there should be another flood sent...so why not?

Maybe because:

1. If there was ever a flood, there was also a promise that there wouldn't be another.
2. We have a better solution to the problem of unrighteousness.
3. God is not as bloodthirsty as you are.

Now we also have Jesus which has taken the sins of all who are willing to have faith in him.

Have you read the verses about the flood? No mocking, no teasing, just marrying and feasting...god hates sex. Kill everyone and make pretty wallpaper in 2003 for a nusery wall. (I don;t mean to be offensive. I just want ppl to read the bible. There is nothing about preaching to the people, just slaughter. )

That's not true, Nonny There are plenty of punishments in the OT, but if you think it's all about slaughter, I wonder if you've read the Bible yourself? I also don't mean to be offensive, but this isn't a debate forum. As far as the OP, I agree with the others. God promised to never again destroy the earth with a flood. And because of the new covenent of Jesus Christ, the sins of those who seek Him are covered.

1. Of course, there is a "god". Everyone has a "god". Everyone worships someonen or somethig... everyone. Now.. Jews and Christians worship the One, True God.

2. Yes, there was a global flood. The earth proves it... not the Bible.

3. This blue dot... will be gone someday, replaced by a new earth.

Well, you have certainly received a variety of answers to your posting.


I want to address a few points you stated.

True Christians don't murder and steal. Many people claim Christianity as their religion and it is nothing but a "name" or a "label". They are nominal Christians... in name only. America is considered a "Christian" country, but the truth is, Christians are a definite minority. It is a "name-only" title.

The world is in a mess because God has allowed satan to rule this world. And until Jesus return, satan will rule this world. That's prophetic. When the world was destroyed by the flood, God promised to never destroy the world again in that same manner.

True, Malaka, that God will never again destroy the world with flood! In Zeph. 3:8, God says that he will destroy the world with Fire.

God made a covenant that He would never destroy the world with a flood again. He set the rainbow in the sky to remind Himself of the covenant He made. Genesis 9:11-17. Fire is next.

God "cleaned house" once with the flood and made the rainbow to remember it by, next time the Scriptures state God will use fire.

Because there is a rainbow in the sky. In Genesis, after the flood, God promises to never again destroy all creation. As a mark of His promise, the rainbow was placed in the sky.
